''Nikah'' (Urdu: ) is a 1998 Pakistani romantic drama film and a remake of the 1977 film ''Aina''. The film is directed by Sangeeta and produced by Shahzad Rafique. Reema won the Best Actress Nigar Award for her role in the movie. Synopsis The story is about two different social classes; Shaan belongs to a middle-class family with great traditional values and Reema is from a rich family. The film portrayed the difficulties of a rich girl adjusting to the life of a middle-class family. Reception The film was released in 1998. Sangeeta (Pakistani Actress)
Parveen Rizvi, better known as Sangeeta, ( ur, ; born 14 June 1947) is a Pakistani film actress, filmmaker and director of television drama serials. Early life Parveen Rizvi was born on 14 June 1947 in Karachi, British India. Parveen Rizvi's (or Sangeeta's) mother Mehtab Rizvi also had a career in show business. The Nigar Awards ( ur, , translit=Inʿām Negār, lit=Picture Awards) were presented in an annual award show to recognize outstanding achievement in Pakistani cinema. The honors are awarded by Nigar Magazine founded in 1948. The Nigar Awards are Pakistan's version of the Academy Awards. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists. The first Nigar Awards ceremony was held in 1957, to honor the accomplishments of Pakistani cinema for the year 1956. Akhlaq Ahmed
Akhlaq Ahmed ( ur, ; 10 January 1946 – 4 August 1999) was a Pakistani film playback singer and still considered one of the leading voices of the film industry. Early life and career He was born in Delhi in 1946 and started as a stage singer in the 1960s in Karachi, when he was a member of a famous singing group with two other artists, Masood Rana and Nadeem. Akhlaq Ahmad was the third generation of male playback singers in the Pakistan film industry. He struggled for many years, but gained some recognition in the 1970s as a playback singer. "Sona Na Chandi Na Koi Mahal" film song in film ''Bandish'' (1980), and "Sawan Aye Sawan Jaye" in film ''Chahat'' (1974), are his big hit film songs. Both of these film songs were composed by music director Robin Ghosh. His song tally is under one hundred songs. Tamanna Begum (1944 – 20 February 2012) was a Pakistani film and television actress. Early life and career Actress Tamanna was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. Tamanna started her media career from Radio Pakistan, Lahore in 1960 as a presenter and later performed in theater plays before joining films. She ventured into films in 1962 with the film ''Daaman (film)'' and continued working in the Pakistani film industry until the late 1980s. Ahsan Khan ( ur, احسن خان; born 1981) is a Pakistani actor, producer and TV host. He began acting in 1998.
