Akhlaq Ahmed
Akhlaq Ahmed ( ur, ; 10 January 1946 – 4 August 1999) was a Pakistani film playback singer and still considered one of the leading voices of the film industry. Early life and career He was born in Delhi in 1946 and started as a stage singer in the 1960s in Karachi, when he was a member of a famous singing group with two other artists, Masood Rana and Nadeem. Akhlaq Ahmad was the third generation of male playback singers in the Pakistan film industry. He struggled for many years, but gained some recognition in the 1970s as a playback singer. "Sona Na Chandi Na Koi Mahal" film song in film ''Bandish'' (1980), and "Sawan Aye Sawan Jaye" in film ''Chahat'' (1974), are his big hit film songs. Both of these film songs were composed by music director Robin Ghosh. His song tally is under one hundred songs. Famous Indian singer Sonu Nigam sang many songs of Akhlaq Ahmed as Sonu's voice closely resembles with Akhlaq's and released these songs in late 1990s. Kamal Ahmed (20 April 1937 – 6 June 1993), was a Pakistani film music director. He has the second-highest number of film scores of more than 100 Urdu movies, after M. Ashraf who did more than 250 Urdu movies as a music director. Kamal won 6 Best Musician Nigar Awards during his long film career. Early life Kamal Ahmad was born in Gurgaon, Uttar Pradesh, British India on April 20, 1937. Career Kamal's debut film as a music director was ''Nadira'' (1967). In this movie, he composed music along with his music teacher Rehman Verma. Nashad ( ur, ) (11 July 1923 – 14 January 1981) was a film composer and music director of Indian and Pakistani film industry. He composed music for Hindi films in the 1940s and 1950s, credited on-screen under the names Nashad and then later migrated to Pakistan in 1964. Early life and career Shaukat Ali was born in Delhi, British India, on 11 July 1923. He received his early academic education in a local high school in Delhi. He learned to play the flute. He moved to Bombay in the early 1940s. He composed under several names before finally settling for Nashad. Film director Nakshab Jarchavi changed Shaukat Ali's name to Nashad for his film ''Naghma'' (1953). He made his music debut under the name Shaukat Dehalvi in the 1947 action film ''Dildaar''.
