Niederrickenbach Station railway station is a Swiss railway station in the municipality of Wolfenschiessen in the canton of Nidwalden. It is on the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line, owned by the Zentralbahn railway company. The station is adjacent to the lower station of the cable car, to the hamlet of Niederrickenbach and the convent of Maria-Rickenbach, from which it takes its name. Niederrickenbach station is horizontally and vertically from Niederrickenbach hamlet. Unusually, and perhaps for this reason, the German language railway timetable includes the word ''Station'' as part of the name of this railway station. Wolfenschiessen
Wolfenschiessen is a village and municipality in the canton of Nidwalden in Switzerland. Besides the village of Wolfenschiessen itself, the municipality includes the settlements of Altzellen, Büren ob dem Bach, Dörfli, and Oberrickenbach, together with a large area of high alpine land, mountains, lakes, and glaciers. Luzern–Stans–Engelberg Railway Line
The Luzern–Stans–Engelberg railway line is a Switzerland, Swiss narrow gauge railway, narrow gauge rack railway that connects Lucerne, Luzern, via Hergiswil and Stans, to the resort of Engelberg. The line was built by the Stansstad–Engelberg Railway (german: Stansstad-Engelberg-Bahn, StEB), which became the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg Railway (german: Luzern–Stans–Engelberg-Bahn, LSE) when the line was extended to Luzern. Maria Rickenbach Monastery (german: Benediktinnerinnenkloster Maria Rickenbach) is a Benedictine monastery of Religious Sisters. It is situated in the village of Niederrickenbach in the municipality of Oberdorf in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden. It is accessible to the public only by cable car from Niederrickenbach Station on the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg railway line, although there is a private road leading up to the village from Dallenwil.
