Nicolas Lesage
Nicolas Lesage (born January 3, 1980) is a Gabonese retired footballer who played as a striker. He played at international level with the Quebec national soccer team. Club career Early career Lesage played college soccer with the UQTR Patriotes for five years. During his university career, his achievements were being named a member of the CIS all-star team for three years. In his final season with the Patriotes, he finished fourth in the overall CIS scoring charts with 13 goals. After the completion of his college career, he was invited along with Jean-Louis Bessé to the Toledo Slayers preseason training camp in 2004. He would ultimately play with the team in the USL Premier Development League. In his debut season in the PDL, he appeared in 14 matches and recorded 8 goals. Pierre-Rudolph Mayard (born February 21, 1988), commonly known as Papouche, is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a forward for AS Blainville in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec. Club career Early career Mayard began his career in 2003, playing with Canadian junior team FC Sélect Rive-Sud. In 2005, he played for the CSR Montréal-Concordia U18 team, winning the silver medal at the Saputo AAA Quebec Cup. In 2006, he joined SC Panellinios Montréal in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec. 2008 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2008 Canadian Soccer League season was the 11th since its establishment where a total of 16 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 16, 2008, and ended on October 26 with the Serbian White Eagles claiming their first championship by defeating Trois-Rivières Attak 2-1 in a penalty shootout. This was the third consecutive year the White Eagles had reached the CSL finals losing respectively to Italia Shooters in 2006, and to rivals Toronto Croatia in 2007. While during the regular season Italia won their second division title with Trois-Rivières becoming the first Quebec team to claim the National Division title. Serbian White Eagles Football Club ( sr, Фудбалски клуб Српски бели орлови / ''Fudbalski klub Srpski beli orlovi'') is a Canadian soccer team. The team is a member of the Canadian Soccer League, an unsanctioned soccer league. The team's home kit is all white commemorating the white double-headed eagle which appears on the Serbian flag while the away colours are red-blue-white commemorating the tricolour of the Serbian flag. York Region Shooters is a Canadian soccer team, that plays in the Canadian Soccer League. The Shooters played their home games at the St. Joan of Arc Turf Field in the City of Vaughan, Ontario. The team's colours were blue and white, mirroring those of the Italy national football team and reflecting the cultural heritage of the club. The Open Canada Cup was an annual knock-out cup competition in Canadian Soccer. The competition was first held during the 1998 season as the CPSL League Cup. The Hamilton Thunder were a soccer team located in Hamilton, Ontario, playing in the Western Conference of the Canadian Professional Soccer League.
