Nicolas Bonnet
Nicolas Bonnet (born 6 November 1984) is a French ski mountaineer, runner, mountain guide and coach of the national team. Bonnet was born in Briançon. He started ski mountaineering in 1998 and competed first in 2002. He holds several national titles in different age classes. In 2006, he was also 2006 "junior" class World champion of vertical race, and placed 1st in the "junior" class at the Patrouille des Glaciers as well as at the short distance race of the Pierra Menta. On 12 April 2007 he broke his own course record on the Pelvoux course with a total time of 3 hours 18 minutes. Together with the Germans Benedikt Böhm and Sebastian Haag he planned a speed ski mountaineering tour on the Manaslu,''Temporausch am Manaslu''

Briançon
Briançon (, ) is the sole Subprefectures in France, subprefecture of the Hautes-Alpes Departments of France, department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regions of France, region in Southeastern France. 2011 World Championship Of Ski Mountaineering
The 2011 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering ( it, Campionato del Mondo di Scialpinismo 2011) were held instead of the originally 9th edition of the European Championships of Ski Mountaineering, why it was the first World Championship in an odd-numbered year, besides the Trofeo Mezzalama in 1975, which was the real first world championship of ski mountaineering. Instead, the 9th edition of the European championships was held in February 2012. The 2011 World Championship, sanctioned by the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) and held in Claut, Italy, lastet from February 19th to 25th, 2011. William Bon Mardion (born 4 October 1983) is a French ski mountaineer. Bon Mardion was born and lives in Arêches where he is member of the ''Club Multisports Arêches-Beaufort''. Tony Sbalbi AKA "Tony the tiger" (born 4 September 1969) is a French ski mountaineer and non-commissioned officer of the ''chasseurs alpins'' corps. Sbalbi was born in Aix-en-Provence. He attended the ''Lycée Jean Raynouard'' in Brignoles. At the age of 18 years he joined the army, where he became instructor at the École militaire de haute montagne (EMHM) in Chamonix. In 1989 he participated in his first ski mountaineering race, and has been member of the French national team since 2002.
