Nico Elvedi (born 30 September 1996) is a Swiss professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre back, centre-back or right-back for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach and the Switzerland national football team, Switzerland national team. Club career Born in Zürich, Elvedi was a youth player for FC Zürich. He made his Swiss Super League debut on 15 May 2014 in a 1–0 away win against FC Lausanne-Sport playing the full match. 2022 FIFA World Cup Squads
The 2022 FIFA World Cup was an international football tournament held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The 32 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of up to 26 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads are eligible to take part in the tournament. A provisional release list of between 35 and 55 players per national team was submitted to FIFA by 21 October 2022, one month prior to the opening match of the tournament.
