''Nicht um zu sterben'' (translation: Not in Order to Die) is the debut studio album by Austrian melodic black metal band Dornenreich. The album was recorded in four days during September 1997 at CCP Studios. It was re-released through Prophecy Productions in 2003. Only the re-release contains the full, uncut booklet. Dornenreich
Dornenreich (up to ''Bitter ist's dem Tod zu dienen'' known as DornenReich) is an Austrian melodic black metal band, founded in 1996. Alongside their initial metal sound, Dornenreich also regard their music as being neofolk influenced. They have released eight albums on Prophecy Productions. History Thomas "Valñes" Stock founded the band in 1996 and choose "Dornenreich" as the name due to the various possible interpretations (''"Realm of thorns"'' or ''"Full of thorns"''). Jochen "Evíga" Stock joined the band during 1996 and they started to write the first songs. In April 1997 Moritz "Gilvan" Neuner completed the line-up but left after the release of '' Her von welken Nächten''. Four years after this, the album '' Hexenwind'' was released. Thomas Stock (musician)
Thomas Stock (1750–1803) established the first Sunday school in the United Kingdom. Early life and education Thomas was the son of Thomas Stock, gentleman of Gloucester. The young Thomas was sent to John Roysse's Free School in Abingdon-on-Thames (now Abingdon School), where he was a boarder from 1761 to 1767. After Abingdon, he gained a scholarship to Pembroke College, Oxford and graduated BA 1771. Career Entering Holy Orders, Stock was elected to a college fellowship from 1771 to 1774 and then was curate at Ashbury in Berkshire (now Oxfordshire).
