Nicholas Nkuna
Sipho Nicholas Nkuna is a South African actor and singer. He is best known for his roles in the popular serial ''7de Laan'' as Fikani and on ''Erfsondes'' as Nkululeko "Freedom" Nkosi''. Personal life He was born on 18 August 1988 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, South Africa where he grew up in his grandmother's house. He graduated with his Bachelors's degree in Arts from Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria specialized with musical theater. Then he traveled to Ball State University, Indiana in the US, to study acting. Career He started acting career during college years, where he performed in several theater plays such as ''Parade'', ''Dream Girls'', ''Shaka Zulu'', ''Sophiatown'', ''Oliver Twist'', ''Rent'', and ''Assassins''. Mbombela
Mbombela (also known as Nelspruit) is a city in northeastern South Africa. It is the capital of the Mpumalanga province. Located on the Crocodile River, Mbombela lies about by road west of the Mozambique border, east of Johannesburg and north of the Eswatini border. Mpumalanga () is a province of South Africa. The name means "East", or literally "The Place Where the Sun Rises" in the Swazi, Xhosa, Ndebele and Zulu languages. ''7de Laan'' is a South African Afrikaans soap opera created by Danie Odendaal and produced by Danie Odendaal Productions. The series focuses on the lives of residents staying in and around the community of 7de Laan (7th Avenue), in the suburb of Hillside. The programme's dialogue is primarily in Afrikaans and is subtitled in English with some English and Zulu dialogue in between. The street and shopfronts which are featured on the opening visuals, are that of Seventh Street in Melville, Johannesburg. History Odendaal originally conceived of the series when he was a resident of the Melville section of Johannesburg. At the time, Odendaal would watch the people of his community over breakfast and a cup of coffee at his favourite coffee shop. He would make up fictitious characters based on what he saw.
