Nicholas Lynedoch Graham
Nicholas Lynedoch Graham is a musician, songwriter and music producer from the UK. He was born in Durban, South Africa, in January 1945, before his family returned to the UK in 1960. His musical career began when joining UK band The End in 1965. Following their demise, he became an original member of Tucky Buzzard. In 1972, he played keyboards for David Bowie including on the Ziggy Stardust Tour during August and September 1972, and appears on the album '' Bowie at the Beeb''. He was A & R manager and staff producer first at Polydor Records and then at CBS Records. As a producer and songwriter, he went on to score multiple hits for The Nolans, Bros (including the UK No. 1 "I Owe You Nothing"), Let Loose, Ant & Dec (including the UK No. 1 "Let's Get Ready to Rhumble"), Code Red, Shakin' Stevens and Aaron Carter, among others. Michael Barratt (born 4 March 1948), known professionally as Shakin' Stevens, is a Welsh singer and songwriter. He was the UK's biggest-selling singles artist of the 1980s. His recording and performing career began in the late 1960s, although it was not until 1980 that his commercial success began. His most successful songs were nostalgia hits, evoking the sound of 1950s rock and roll and pop. Code Red were a British boyband, formed in 1996. Formation Phillip Andrew Rodell, Neil James Watts, Lee John Missen, and Roger Ratajczak formed themselves as the lineup for the vocal group, and they were signed by Polydor Records. They performed in the 1996 Great British Song Contest singing "I Gave You Everything", and finished as runners-up in the competition. The group was disbanded in 2001. "Let's Get Ready to Rhumble" is a 1994 song by PJ & Duncan AKA, the performing name used by British duo Ant & Dec at the time. The song was released in the United Kingdom on 11 July 1994 as the third single from their debut studio album ''Psyche''. The song was written by Nicky Graham, Deni Lew and Mike Olton, and produced by Nicky Graham. It peaked at number 9 in the UK Singles Chart in 1994, and was later #1 almost two decades after its original chart appearance. The song includes a repeatedly-used sample of boxing and wrestling announcer Michael Buffer saying his trademark catchphrase. “Rumble” was deliberately spelled as "rhumble" to avoid copyright problems, since Buffer had trademarked the phrase, and the chosen additional “h” was a homage to the rhumba dance.
