Niagara Stars
The Niagara Stars played in the independent Canadian Baseball League that existed for half of the summer season of 2003 before folding. Located in the city of Welland, Ontario the team featured a variety of international ballplayers from Canada, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. The Stars were managed by former major leaguer Pete LaCock Ralph Pierre "Pete" LaCock Jr. (born January 17, 1952) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman/outfielder. He batted and threw left-handed. In 1975, LaCock hit the only grand slam of his career in the final appearance of St. Louis Cardina ... who led the team to a 15-15 record before league officials pulled the plug on the season at the half-way point. José Benjamín Quintero (15 October 1924 – 26 February 1999) was a Panamanian theatre director, producer and pedagogue best known for his interpretations of the works of Eugene O'Neill. Jeremy Walker (baseball)
Jeremy Price Walker (born June 12, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Walker was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 5th round of the 2016 MLB draft. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Braves, with whom he made his MLB debut in 2019. Ben Rosenthal (born July 25, 1979) is an American professional baseball coach and former player. He is currently an assistant hitting coach for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in Minor League Baseball as a catcher and outfielder from 2003 to 2006. Biography Rosenthal was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and played college baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs baseball team. After being unselected in the Major League Baseball draft, he began his professional playing career in 2003 playing in independent baseball leagues. He played 27 games in the Canadian Baseball League and 19 games in the Northeast League, registering an overall .237 batting average. Richard Dwight Butler (born May 1, 1973) is a Canadian former outfielder in Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He is the brother of another former Blue Jay, Rob Butler. Career Butler was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Toronto Blue Jays on September 24, 1990.
