Ng Siu-hong
Andy Siu-hong Ng ( Cantonese: , zh, cy=ǹgh shiuh hōng) is a Hong Kong-born English politician. Ng is now a local councillor in Wokingham, England and was a councillor in the Central and Western District Council in Hong Kong. Early life Ng attended Raimondi College, on the Mid-Levels in the City of Victoria on Hong Kong Island – which served as the polling station of the constituency he later represented. He was a graphic designer. Political career Hong Kong Ng, a member of the Democratic Party of Hong Kong, was first elected to the Mid-Levels East constituency in the 2015 local elections after winning 50.9% of votes and defeating a pro-Beijing candidate. He is considered a close ally of Ted Hui, a councillor of the same party for a neighbouring constituency in the district. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Nearly three million people voted, equivalent to 71 per cent of registered voters, an unprecedented turnout in the electoral history of Hong Kong. 2015 Hong Kong District Councils Election
The 2015 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 22 November 2015. Elections were held to all 18 District Councils with returning 431 members from directly elected constituencies after all appointed seats had been abolished. A record-breaking 1.4 million voters, or 47 per cent of the registered voters, went to cast their votes. The pro-Beijing camp retained its control of all 18 councils with the Beijing-loyalist party Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) maintained the largest party far ahead of other parties. 2024 Wokingham Borough Council Election
The 2024 Wokingham Borough Council election took place on Thursday 2 May 2024, to elect members of Wokingham Borough Council in Berkshire, England. This was on the same day as other local elections across England. Due to boundary changes all seats were up for election. The main impact of the boundary changes is that all wards in the Borough are now three member wards; the number of seats remained the same at 54. The old warding system had a mix of one, two and three member wards. Prior to the election, the council was under no overall control.
