New Zealand National Cricket Team
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Named the Black Caps, they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch, becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. From 1930 New Zealand had to wait until 1956, more than 26 years, for its first Test victory, against the West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. They played their first ODI in the 1972–73 season against Pakistan in Christchurch. Frank Cameron
Francis James Cameron (1 June 1932 – 2 January 2023) was a New Zealand cricketer who played 19 Tests for New Zealand as a fast bowler. Cameron took three five-wicket-hauls in an innings during his Test career for New Zealand, two of them during his first tour against South Africa in 1961–62, where New Zealand drew 2–2 in the five–Test series. During that series, he was dismissed once in nine innings, and finished with a batting average of 17. In 30 Test innings, he ended up not out in two thirds of them, which might have contributed to his career batting average of 11.6 – he only made it into double figures three times with the bat. Daud Khan (cricketer)
Daud Khan (1912–1979) was a cricket player and umpire. He played for the Sindh cricket team before and after Pakistan's independence from India. He later became a Test umpire. Playing career Daud played 20 first-class matches as a middle-order batsman for Sind between 1936 and 1947. His highest score was 74 not out against Bombay in the Ranji Trophy in 1938-39. Umpiring career Khan stood as an umpire in 136 first-class matches in Pakistan between 1948 and 1976, most of them in Karachi, including nine finals of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Between 1955 and 1973, he officiated in 14 Tests. Along with Idrees Baig he stood in the first Test ever played in Pakistan, the First Test against India in Dacca beginning on New Year's Day 1955. The National Stadium (Urdu: نیشنل سٹیڈیم), also referred to as National Bank Cricket Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a cricket stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It is the home ground of Karachi Kings and Karachi's many other domestic cricket teams. It is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan with a capacity of 34,228 spectators. Mohammad Ilyas Mahmood ( ur, ; born 19 March 1946) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played in ten Test matches between 1964 and 1969. Cricket career Ilyas was an opening batsman and occasional leg-spin bowler. He played first-class cricket in Pakistan from 1961 to 1972. He scored 126 in the Third Test against New Zealand in Karachi in April 1965, when Pakistan needed 202 to win in five and half hours, and reached the target with a session to spare for the loss of only two wickets. He made his highest first-class score in December 1964, when he scored 154 against South Australia. He toured Australia a second time with the Pakistan team in 1972–73, but was injured early in the tour and omitted from the team before it left for the New Zealand leg of the tour. Intikhab Alam
Intikhab Alam Khan (Urdu:) (born 28 December 1941) is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who played in 47 Test matches and four One Day Internationals from 1959 to 1977. He captained Pakistan in 17 Tests between 1969 and 1975. He also played in English county cricket for Surrey between 1969 and 1981. Prior to this Intikhab was professional for several years at West of Scotland Cricket Club in Glasgow and also coached at The Glasgow Academy. In August 1967, at the Oval, he joined Asif Iqbal for a ninth wicket stand of 190 runs. This remained as a World record for around 30 years. Dick Motz
Richard Charles Motz (12 January 1940 – 29 April 2007) was a New Zealand cricketer. A right-arm fast bowler and hard-hitting lower order batsman, Motz played 32 Test matches for the New Zealand cricket team between 1961 and 1969. He was the first bowler for New Zealand to take 100 wickets in Test cricket. Early life Motz was born in Christchurch. Asif Iqbal Razvi (Urdu: آصف اقبال رضوی, born 6 June 1943) is a former Pakistani professional cricketer who captained the Pakistan national cricket team and Kent County Cricket Club. He went on to become a match referee. Born in Hyderabad, Asif Iqbal is related to former India captain Ghulam Ahmed and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
