The New Zealand cricket team toured India in the 1964-65 cricket season. They played four Test matches against the Indian cricket team, with India winning one match and the other three being drawn. John Richard Reid
John Richard Reid (3 June 192814 October 2020) was a New Zealand cricketer who captained New Zealand in 34 Test matches. He was New Zealand's eighth Test captain and the first to achieve victory, both at home, against the West Indies in 1956, and away, against South Africa in 1962. Early life Reid was born in Auckland in 1928 to Iris and Norman Reid. His father, Norman, was a Scottish-born rugby league player, while his mother, Iris, was a music teacher. The family moved to Wellington when Reid was young. He studied at the Hutt Valley High School, where he started out as a rugby union player but later switched to cricket, stemming from heart problems and bouts of rheumatic fever. Pakistani Cricket Team In New Zealand In 1964–65
The Pakistan national cricket team toured New Zealand from December 1964 to February 1965 and played a three-match Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. All three Tests were drawn. Pakistan also played first-class matches against all six Plunket Shield teams, two non-first-class matches against minor provincial teams, and a first-class match against a President's XI. Of these matches Pakistan won four and drew five, so they went through the tour undefeated. So, New Zealand also were undefeated. Otago Cricket Team
The Otago cricket team, nicknamed the Volts since the 1997–98 season, are a New Zealand first-class cricket team which first played representative cricket in 1864. The team represents the Otago, Southland and North Otago regions of New Zealand's South Island. Their main governing board is the Otago Cricket Association which is one of six major associations that make up New Zealand Cricket. The team plays most of its home games at the University Oval in Dunedin, but occasionally plays games at the Events Centre in Queenstown, Queen's Park Ground in Invercargill and Molyneux Park in Alexandra. Frank Cameron
Francis James Cameron (1 June 1932 – 2 January 2023) was a New Zealand cricketer who played 19 Tests for New Zealand as a fast bowler. Cameron took three five-wicket-hauls in an innings during his Test career for New Zealand, two of them during his first tour against South Africa in 1961–62, where New Zealand drew 2–2 in the five–Test series. During that series, he was dismissed once in nine innings, and finished with a batting average of 17. In 30 Test innings, he ended up not out in two thirds of them, which might have contributed to his career batting average of 11.6 – he only made it into double figures three times with the bat. Walter Hadlee
Walter Arnold Hadlee (4 June 1915 – 29 September 2006) was a New Zealand cricketer and Test match captain. He played domestic first-class cricket for Canterbury and Otago. Three of his five sons, Sir Richard, Dayle and Barry played cricket for New Zealand. The Chappell–Hadlee Trophy, which is competed for by ODI teams from New Zealand and Australia is named in honour of the Hadlee family and the Australian Chappell family. Hadlee captained one of New Zealand's most highly regarded teams, the 1949 side which toured England in an era when New Zealand had yet to win a Test. Terry Jarvis
Terrence Wayne Jarvis (born 29 July 1944) is a New Zealand businessman and former cricketer who played 13 Test matches for New Zealand between 1965 and 1973. With Glenn Turner, Jarvis holds the opening Test partnership record for New Zealand of 387, scored against the West Indies in Georgetown, Guyana, during the 1971–72 season. Early career Terry Jarvis was raised in the Auckland suburb of Remuera and attended Auckland Grammar School from 1958 to 1960, where he played in the 1st Eleven, a team that included two future New Zealand Test captains, Mark Burgess and Hedley Howarth, and another future Test player, Ross Morgan. The New Zealand national cricket team toured India in 1955-56 season. The teams played five Tests. India won the series 2-0 with three Tests drawn. Before the series, the New Zealand team had played a three-Test series in Pakistan. Squads Every player played at least one Test in the series. Cave, Reid, Guy, Hayes, MacGibbon and Sutcliffe played all five Tests.
