New York Guardians
The Orlando Guardians are a professional American football team based in Orlando, Florida. The team was founded by Vince McMahon's Alpha Entertainment and is an owned-and-operated member of the XFL. The Guardians played their home games at MetLife Stadium in 2020 and will play at Camping World Stadium in 2023. They were originally named the New York Guardians, which they were known as for their first season. In July 2022, Alpha (under Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia ownership) announced that the XFL would not return to New York for the 2023 XFL season. Guardians president Janet Duch was reassigned to the league's central office, and the Guardians brand was transferred to Orlando. The XFL is a professional American football minor league consisting of eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets served by at least one other major professional sports team. Seasons run from February to April, with each team playing a ten-game regular season, and four progressing to the playoffs to crown a season champion. It is headquartered in Arlington, Texas. The league was founded by former WWE executive Vince McMahon in 2018, as a reboot and successor to the league of the same name he founded in 2001. The Arlington Renegades are a professional American football team based in Arlington, Texas. Austin P. Duke (born August 3, 1993) is a former American football wide receiver for the Barcelona Dragons of the European League of Football (ELF). He played college football for Charlotte and later professionally for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). Luis Francisco Perez (born August 26, 1994) is an American football quarterback for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL (2020), XFL. He played college football at Texas A&M University–Commerce from 2015 to 2017. The Dome at America's Center is a multi-purpose stadium used for concerts, major conventions, and sporting events in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Marquise Javon Williams (born October 5, 1992) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at North Carolina. Williams was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2016, later playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL), the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and the New York Guardians of the XFL. Red Zone (gridiron Football)
In gridiron football, the red zone is the area of the field between the 20-yard line and the goal line. The red zone official meaning is the scoring zone during the process of playing the game and, though some professional stadiums may have a decorative stripe indicating the 20-yard line (usually either team colors, or a red-white-blue stripe; some fields have it placed at the 25-yard line instead), the zone is not red-colored, and merely a statistical delineation. Jamar Summers (born June 14, 1995) is an American football cornerback for the Vegas Vipers of the XFL. He played college football at University of Connecticut. Matthew James "Matt" McGloin (born December 2, 1989) is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback for the Penn State Nittany Lions football team from 2010 to 2012.
