Michael Tannousis
Michael Tannousis (born December 8, 1983) is an American Lawyer, attorney and politician who is a member of the New York State Assembly from the 64th district. He was elected in 2020 to a term which began on January 1, 2021. Early life and education Tannousis was born and raised on Staten Island, the son of immigrants from Cyprus. Tannousis attended Monsignor Farrell High School, then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Binghamton University and a Juris Doctor from the Pace University School of Law. Career After law school, Tannousis worked as a prosecutor in Staten Island and The Bronx. He also served as a counselor to City Councilman Joe Borelli. After Nicole Malliotakis announced that she would not seek re-election to the New York State Assembly and instead run for the United States House of Representatives, Tannousis declared his candidacy to succeed her. Nicole Malliotakis
Nicole Malliotakis (; born November 11, 1980) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 11th congressional district since 2021. Her constituency covers Staten Island and southern Brooklyn. Malliotakis is the only Republican representing any part of New York City in Congress, and is one of four female Republican elected officials in New York City, with the other three serving on the New York City Council. In 2020, she defeated incumbent Representative Max Rose. She was the Republican nominee for mayor of New York City in the 2017 election, which she lost to incumbent Democrat Bill de Blasio. Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
Bay Ridge is a neighborhood in the southwest corner of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is bounded by Sunset Park to the north, Dyker Heights to the east, the Narrows and the Belt Parkway to the west, and Fort Hamilton Army Base and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to the south.
