New Taipei City Constituency 10 () includes all of Tucheng and Sanxia in New Taipei City. Legislative Yuan
The Legislative Yuan is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of China (Taiwan) located in Taipei. The Legislative Yuan is composed of 113 members, who are directly elected for 4-year terms by people of the Taiwan Area through a parallel voting system. Originally located in Nanking, the Legislative Yuan, along with the National Assembly (electoral college) and the Control Yuan (upper house), formed the tricameral parliament under the original 1947 Constitution. The Legislative Yuan previously had 759 members representing each constituencies of all provinces, municipalities, Tibet, Outer Mongolia and various professions. Until democratization, the Republic of China was an authoritarian state under Dang Guo, the Legislative Yuan had alternatively been characterized as a rubber stamp for the then-ruling regime of the Kuomintang. Sanxia District
Sanxia District () is a District (Taiwan), district in the southwestern part of New Taipei, Taiwan. It is the second largest district in New Taipei City by area after Wulai District. Name The old name of Sanxia, ''Sa-kak-eng'' () refers to the meeting of the Dahan River, Sanxia River, and . In 1920, Taiwan under Japanese rule, Taiwan's Japanese government administratively designated the town as , Kaizan District, Taihoku Prefecture. Lu Chia-chen
Lu Chia-chen (; born 1 January 1953) is a Taiwanese politician. Education Lu earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Chung Hua University. Political career Lu is a longtime ally of Wang Jin-pyng. Lu served on the township council as a representative of Tucheng District for two terms. He then was elected to the Taipei County Council, again for two terms. Lu returned to Tucheng as district leader, and ran for a seat on the Legislative Yuan near the end of his second term. He was elected to the Legislative Yuan in January 2008, defeating Lee Wen-chung, but did not take office at the start of the February legislative session. Because Lu held his Tucheng District post until March, the need for a local by-election was eliminated. Wu Chi-ming (; born 24 February 1963) is a Taiwanese politician. He attended De Lin Institute of Technology. Wu was first elected to the Taipei County Council in 2006. The county was upgraded to the special municipality New Taipei in 2010, and the council was renamed. New Taipei City
New Taipei City is a special municipality located in northern Taiwan. The city is home to an estimated population of 3,974,683 as of 2022, making it the most populous city of Taiwan, and also the second largest special municipality by area, behind Kaohsiung.
