''The New Land'' ( sv, Nybyggarna) is a 1972 Swedish film co-written and directed by Jan Troell and starring Max von Sydow, Liv Ullmann, Eddie Axberg, Allan Edwall, Monica Zetterlund, and Pierre Lindstedt. It and its 1971 predecessor, ''The Emigrants'' (''Utvandrarna''), which were produced concurrently, are based on Vilhelm Moberg's ''The Emigrants'', a series of four novels about poor Swedes who emigrate from Småland, Sweden, in the mid-19th century and make their home in Minnesota. New Lands
{{italic title ''New Lands'' is the second nonfiction book of the author Charles Fort, published in 1923. It deals primarily with astronomical anomalies. Fort expands in this book on his theory about the Super-Sargasso Sea – a place where earthly things supposedly materialize in order to rain down on Earth – as well as developing an idea that there are continents above the skies of Earth. As evidence, he cites a number of anomalous phenomena, including strange " mirages" of land masses, groups of people, and animals in the skies. He also continues his attacks on scientific dogma, citing a number of mysterious stars and planets that scientists failed to account for. Of all of Fort's books, ''New Lands'' is the worst-regarded. His speculations (serious or joking, he does not reveal) concerning continents in the sky and the supposed top-like shape of the Earth have dated considerably. ''New Lands'' is available in Dover Publications Dover Publications, also known as Dover B ...

New Lands (song)
''Audio, Video, Disco'' is the second studio album by the French electronic music duo Justice, released on 24 October 2011 by Ed Banger Records, Because Music and Elektra Records. Justice member Xavier de Rosnay has said of ''Audio, Video, Disco''s musical style: "We wanted to create something very laid back and a bit countryside-ish. You know, daytime music. ..What we wanted to do was keep the beats, but make it more soft. One of the challenges of this record was to make it feel emotionally heavy without being aggressive. Like being soft and violent at the same time. The texture of the new record is really soft." The album also features more collaborations than on the band's debut album '' †''. The album received positive reviews from critics and had a positive commercial performance. Five singles were released from the album, which were "Civilization", the title track, "On'n'On", "New Lands" and "Helix". Singles The album's first single, "Civilization", was released digital ...

Uusimaa
Uusimaa (; sv, Nyland, ; both lit. 'new land') is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Southwest Finland, Tavastia Proper (Kanta-Häme), Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme), and Kymenlaakso. Finland's capital and largest city, Helsinki, along with the surrounding Greater Helsinki area, are both contained in the region, and Uusimaa is Finland's most populous region. The population of Uusimaa is 1,723,000. Some place names have traces of Tavastian village names, like Konala, which likely derives from the older Tavastian village name ''Konhola''. Estonians inhabited the region to a smaller extent, specifically for seasonal fishing. Swedish colonisation of coasta ...
