The New Caledonia national under-20 football team is the national U-20 team of New Caledonia and is controlled by the New Caledonian Football Federation. Kagu
The kagu or cagou (''Rhynochetos jubatus'') is a crested, long-legged, and bluish-grey bird endemic to the dense mountain forests of New Caledonia. It is the only surviving member of the genus ''Rhynochetos'' and the family Rhynochetidae, although a second species has been described from the fossil record. Measuring in length, it has pale grey plumage and bright red legs. Its 'nasal corns' are a unique feature not shared with any other bird. Almost flightless, it spends its time on or near the ground, where it hunts its invertebrate prey, and builds a nest of sticks on the forest floor. Both parents share incubation of a single egg, as well as rearing the chick. It has proven vulnerable to introduced predators and is threatened with extinction. 2011 OFC U-20 Championship
The 2011 OFC U-20 Championship, was the 18th OFC Under 20 Qualifying Tournament, the biennial football championship of Oceania ( OFC). It was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 21 to 29 April 2011. The winner qualified for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Holders Tahiti failed to qualify for this tournament. New Zealand won this year's edition. FIFA U-20 World Cup
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is the biennial football world championship tournament for FIFA members’ men's national teams with players under the age of 20. The competition has been staged every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1977 when it was hosted by Tunisia, under the tournament name of FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005. In 2007 the name was changed to its present form. The current title holder is Ukraine which won its first title at the 2019 tournament in Poland. 2022 OFC U-19 Championship
The 2022 OFC U-19 Championship was the 23rd edition of the OFC U-19/U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the men's under-19/under-20 national teams of Oceania. The OFC announced on 4 March 2022 that the 2021 OFC U-20 Championship (originally the 2020 OFC U-19 Championship), which would have been hosted by Samoa, had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Samoa would be retained to host the next edition in 2022. On 4 June 2021, the OFC announced the tournament had been moved to August from July. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina as the OFC representatives. 2018 OFC U-19 Championship
The 2018 OFC U-19 Championship was the 22nd edition of the OFC U-19/U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the men's under-19/under-20 national teams of Oceania. The qualifying stage was held in the Cook Islands between 26 May – 1 June 2018, and the final tournament was held in Tahiti between 5–18 August 2018. Before the tournament in 2016, the age limit was reduced by a year to 19 years of age. However, the last tournament remained the name U-20 Championship. For this tournament, the name has changed to U-19 Championship. So, players who wanted to participate in the tournament needed to be born on or after 1 January 1999.
