New Brunswick Route 11
Route 11 is a provincial highway in northeastern New Brunswick, Canada. The road runs from Moncton to the Quebec border, near Campbellton, at the Matapédia Bridge, following the province's eastern and northern coastlines. Between Shediac Bridge and Miramichi, and between Bathurst and Campbellton, it is a two-lane road with some sections designed as a super two expressway. The highway is twinned for 7 kilometres in the Shediac region near the Route 15 interchange. Route description The southern terminus of Route 11 is at an interchange with Route 2 in Moncton, where it begins a concurrency with Route 15 for to Shediac. At Shediac, Route 11 departs Route 15 and turns northward, where its exit numbers are reset. It runs northward, parallel to Route 134 as a four-lane divided highway for , then becomes a super two controlled-access highway. Bouctouche
Bouctouche is a Canadian town in Kent County, New Brunswick. History Bouctouche was originally named Tjipogtotjg (pronounced ''Chebooktoosk''), a Mi'kmaq word meaning "Great Little Harbour". The region was next settled by brothers Francois LeBlanc and Charles LeBlanc, and brothers Isidore Bastarache and Joseph Bastarache in 1785 as an Acadian community. "La Croix commémorative aux fondateurs de Bouctouche" was unveiled August 29, 1954, to pay tribute to the founders of the town, who first arrived in 1785. It says "We remember François and Hélène (née Breau) LeBlanc; Charlitte and first wife Marie (née Breau) LeBlanc, and his second wife Madeleine (née Girouard); and Joseph and Marie (née Girouard) Bastarache". New Brunswick Route 115
Route 115 is a highway in New Brunswick, Canada; running from a junction with Route 134 in the Lewisville neighbourhood of Moncton to Route 134 in Saint-François-de-Kent (near Bouctouche, a distance of 44 kilometres. In Moncton, Route 115 follows Elmwood Drive, a suburban arterial running due north from the city through the neighbourhood of Sunny Brae. The route continues north to the community of Irishtown, then northeast to Notre-Dame. From Notre-Dame, Route 115 turns north to the town of Champdoré, becoming known as rue Principale and chemin McKees Mills, then follows the south bank of the Little Bouctouche River to through McKees Mills as it ends in Saint-Francois-de-Kent. New Brunswick Route 535
Route 535 is a long north-east looping secondary highway in the south east portion of New Brunswick, Canada. The route's northern terminus is at Route 134 in the community of Saint-Francois-de-Kent. The road travels northeast around a portion of the Cocagne Bay starting at the Little Bouctouche River until the community of Dixon Point. The road then makes a sharp southeast turn to follow the Northumberland Strait through the community of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent. It continues through the communities of Bar-de-Cocagne and Cormierville. The road then passes Surette Island and Cocagne Island before crossing into the village of Cocagne. Route 535 then crosses Route 134 and begins to follow the north bank of the Cocagne River. Cocagne () is a Canadian community, formerly part of an eponymous local service district (LSD) and later incorporated rural community, in Kent County, New Brunswick. History It was named after Cockaigne, a mythical paradise in medieval French literature. It is located at the mouth of the Cocagne River on the Northumberland Strait. William Francis Ganong identified the Mi'kmaq name as ''Wijulmacadie'', referring to a plant found along the river. In 1866 Cocagne was a farming community with about 65 families: in 1871 the community and surrounding district had a population of 900: in 1898 Cocagne was a sub-port of entry with a population of 250. Shediac is a civil parish in Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it is divided between the town of Shediac, the village of Cap-Pelé, the incorporated rural community of Beaubassin East;, and the local service districts of Grande-Digue, Pointe-du-Chêne, Scoudouc, Scoudouc Road, Shediac Bridge-Shediac River, Shediac Cape, and the parish of Shediac. Route 134 is a -long north–south secondary highway in eastern New Brunswick, Canada. The highway is divided by into a northern and southern section by a gap in Northumberland County connected by Route 11 and Route 8. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons.
