New Baltimore is the primary hamlet in the town of New Baltimore, Greene County, New York, United States. It is a census-designated place (CDP), first listed as such prior to the 2020 census. The New Baltimore Hamlet Historic District occupies the historic core of the hamlet. The CDP is in the northeastern corner of Greene County and the town of New Baltimore, overlooking the Hudson River.The community's northern border is with the town of Coeymans in Albany County, and the western border follows Hannacrois Creek, a tributary of the Hudson, and Interstate 87, the New York State Thruway. The closest Thruway access points are Exit 21B ( Coxsackie), to the south, and Exit 22 ( Selkirk), to the north. 2020 United States Census

New York State Route 144
New York State Route 144 (NY 144) is a state highway in the Capital District of New York in the United States. The highway runs for as a two-lane road from an intersection with U.S. Route 9W (US 9W) in the Greene County town of New Baltimore to a junction with NY 32 in the town of Bethlehem just south of the Albany city limits. NY 144 closely parallels the New York State Thruway ( Interstate 87 or I-87) and the west bank of the Hudson River as it heads across Albany County. Selkirk, New York
Selkirk is a hamlet in the town of Bethlehem, Albany County, New York, United States. It is located south of the city of Albany and is a suburb of that city. A major freight railyard operated by the Selkirk Subdivision of CSX Transportation is located there; all of the CSX freight traffic going to or from Boston goes through Selkirk on its way to points north, south or west. The route is also used by traffic from New York City via the Alfred H. Smith Memorial Bridge to points west, a detour known as the Selkirk hurdle. Coxsackie is a village in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 2,813 at the 2010 census. The village name comes from the native word ''mak-kachs-hack-ing''. When the land was purchased by the Dutch settlers, the name was written as ''Koxhackung''. It is generally translated as "Hoot-owl place" or "place of many owls". Coeymans, New York
Coeymans is a town in Albany County, New York, United States. The population was 7,256 in the 2020 census, a decline from 7,418 at the 2010 census. The town is named after an early settler, who was the patent-holder for the area. The town is in the southeastern part of the county, south of Albany. The Powell & Minnock Brick Yard, just north of the Hamlet on Rt. 144, was used as the assembly site for a new swing span for the 145th Street Bridge in 2006.
