Nevada Union High School (NU) is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills northeast of California's capital, Sacramento. Situated between Nevada City and Grass Valley, the school serves those two incorporated cities and a large surrounding community. The Nevada Union High School district covers a huge geographic area, with some students bussed in from as far as 56 miles away. NU was named a California Distinguished School in 1997 and 2012, and in 1998 was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon High School. NUHS serves ninth through twelfth grade students. NUHS does not have an ethnically diverse student population, as 99% are Caucasian. It is, however, economically diverse, with 45% of families qualifying for the Free and Reduced National School Lunch Program. Grass Valley is a city in Nevada County, California, United States. Situated at roughly in elevation in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this northern Gold Country city is by car from Sacramento, from Sacramento International Airport, west of Reno, and northeast of San Francisco. Spencer Havner
Spencer Rhett Havner AY-vner(February 2, 1983) is a former American football tight end. He was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at UCLA. Havner was also a member of the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. He won Super Bowl XLV with the Packers over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hunter Lawrence Burgan (born May 14, 1976) is an American multi-instrumentalist. He is the third and current bassist of AFI. Biography Burgan was born in Los Angeles County, California and grew up in Grass Valley, California. He is a vegan. Career Burgan was in a band called the Force at the time he joined California rock band AFI. He was meant to be a temporary replacement for the existing bassist, Geoff Kresge, for a few tours and a record, ''Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes'', but eventually became AFI's full-time bassist in November 1997. Richard Llewellyn Brooks (born August 20, 1941) is a retired American football player and coach. He was the head coach at the University of OregonMcCann, Michael C. (1995).
