Nevada's 2nd Senate district is one of 21 districts in the Nevada Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Edgar Flores (politician), Edgar Flores since 2022, succeeding fellow Democrat Mo Denis. Geography and demographics District 2 is based in Las Vegas' Downtown Las Vegas, Downtown, also covering smaller parts of North Las Vegas, Nevada, North Las Vegas and Sunrise Manor, Nevada, Sunrise Manor in Clark County, Nevada, Clark County. Stephen F. Sisolak (born December 26, 1953) is an American businessman and politician who has served as the 30th governor of Nevada since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he served on the Clark County Commission from 2009 to 2019 and on the Nevada Board of Regents from 1999 to 2008. Jacklyn Sheryl Rosen (née Spektor; born August 2, 1957) is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from Nevada since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she was the U.S. representative for Nevada's 3rd congressional district from 2017 to 2019.
