Nestoras Kommatos
Nestoras Kommatos (Greek: Νέστορας Κόμματος; born May 4, 1977) is a Greek former professional basketball player and, as of recently, the team manager for Larisa (formerly known as Ermis Agias) of the Greek Basket League. During his pro club career, at a height of 6'8" (2.03 m) tall, he played at the small forward, power forward and center positions. Professional career Kommatos began his career with the youth teams of Perseas Larissas. He then transferred to the Greek club Gymnastikos S. Larissas, in 1996. In 2000, he transferred to the Greek team Makedonikos. He then moved to the Greek team PAOK, where he stayed for a year, and then to the Greek team Aris. In 2005, Kommatos moved to the Israeli Super League basketball giants Maccabi Tel Aviv, and he won the EuroLeague's 2005 championship with them. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The GBL plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 13 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the A2 Basket League and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. The HEBA Greek All-Star Game, also known as the EKO Greek All-Star Game for sponsorship reasons, is the All-Star Game of the HEBA ( Greek: ΕΣΑΚΕ) Greek professional basketball association for men. It was founded and organized by Gus Sarianides. The men's all-star game has most often been played in a format featuring the Greek All-Stars, versus the Rest of the World All-Stars. There is also a men's slam dunk competition, and a men's 3-point shootout competition. Larisa B.C. (Greek: Λάρισα K.A.E.), or Larisa Basket (alternate spelling: Larissa), is a Greek professional basketball club that is located in Larissa, Greece. It is a part of the G.S.
