Nesrin Sipahi
Nesrin Akçan Sipahi (born 29 November 1934) is a Turkish singer of Crimean Tatar origin specialized on Turkish music. Life Nesrin Akçan was born to Yunus and Adile in Yeşilköy neighborhood of Bakırköy ilçe (district), Istanbul, Turkey on 29 November 1934. Her parents were of Crimean descent. Her two brothers, Nihat and Çetin were theatre actors. She graduated from Bakırköy High School. Following a short marriage in 1950, she remarried to Hasan Aldemir Sipahi on 23 January 1957. She has two sons; Yunus Emre born in 1957 and Candemir in 1968. Music career While still in teens, she got interested in music. Although initially her genre was western music, she finally began singing Turkish music. In 1953, she entered Ankara Radio, which was considered as the main music training center at that time. Yeşilköy
(; meaning "Green Village"; prior to 1926, San Stefano or Santo Stefano el, Άγιος Στέφανος, Ágios Stéfanos, tr, Ayastefanos) is an affluent neighbourhood ( tr, mahalle) in the district of Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey, on the Marmara Sea about west of Istanbul's historic city centre. Prior to the rapid increase of Istanbul's population in the 1970s, Yeşilköy was a secluded village and sea resort. Etymology The original name, ''San Stefano'', in use until 1926, derives from a legend: in the early 13th century, the ship carrying Saint Stephen's relics to Rome from Constantinople, sacked by the crusaders of the Fourth Crusade, was forced to stop here because of a storm. The Presidential Complex ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi) is the presidential residence of the Republic of Turkey. The complex is located in the Beştepe neighborhood of Ankara, inside the Atatürk Forest Farm. In accordance with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's "New Turkey" concept, it was envisaged that the Çankaya Presidential Mansion would become the prime ministerial complex and the president would move to the newly built palace.
