Bhakta Raj Acharya
Bhakta Raj Acharya ( ne, भक्तराज आचार्य ) (born on 1999 B.S or 1942 A.D), commonly referred to as ''Bhajan Shiromani'', is one of the great and popular Nepali singer and music-composer. Widely known as one of the greatest singers of all time in Nepal. He was born in Dhankuta, Nepal and raised in Kalimpong, India. He moved to Nepal in 1970's during the flock of Darjeeling singers to Nepal. Acharya's career started in 1973 after he won a gold medal in an All Nepal Song Competition held by Radio Nepal. His career spanned until 1986. He has about 450 recorded songs and has composed about 25-30 songs. His sons, Satya Raj Acharya and Sworoop Raj Acharya also known jointly as Satya-Swaroop, have followed their father's footsteps and have established themselves as promising singers. Ram Prasad Khanal ( ne, रामप्रसाद खनाल) is a Nepalese musician, distinguished class singer, and folk-music activist. He has worked for the growth and development of Nepali folk music for decades. He is an author, journalist, artist, actor, composer, and radio and TV program producer, director and presenter. He serves as President of the International Artists Forum. He has mainly been known for his Nepali folk and duet songs and his activism in the field of folk music. Khanal moved to the United States of America a decade ago and has been living there with his family since then. In the US, he is involved in different business activities. Nati Kaji
Amrit Lal Shrestha (25 December 1925 – 2 November 2003), better known as Nati Kaji (), was a Nepali singer and songwriter. Kaji was a prominent music director and singer of his time having composed and sung such evergreen songs as Nepali Hami (written by Madhav Prasad Ghimire). Early life Natikaji was a nickname given to Amrit Lal Shrestha by his grandparents, and became the name he is known by throughout the country. He was born in 1925 at Lalitpur, Nepal, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. He lost his mother at the age of 5 and his father at the age of 10 and so was raised by his grandparents at Gujeshwori where his grandfather was the temple priest. Natikaji died on 2 November 2003. Bacchu Kailash
Bachchu Kailash ( ne, बच्चु कैलाश) (born 30 July 1938) is a singer, composer and lyricist of Nepali Music. He displayed virtuoso with his songwriting skills in which his lyrics often provoked a subject from a different perspective and highly poetic form; adding with his unique tenor voice made him highly popular. Early life Bachchu Kailash was born on Shawan 15, 1995 B.S (30 July 1938) in Sapatel, Chhorumbu VDC, Khotang. He was the oldest of six brothers born to Karna Bahadur Basnet and Krishna Kumari Basnet. Sukmit Gurung
Sukmit Gurung (Nepali:सुकमित गुरुङ) is a modern classical Nepali female singer who sang popular Nepali songs such as ''Priyatam'' and ''Relimai'' in the 1990s and worked as a playback singer in various Nepali cinemas. She has sung more than 400 songs including those with contemporary musicians such as Gopal Yonzon, Ambar Gurung, and Sambhujeet Baskota. She also sang in Newari and Japanese language. Mausami Gurung, ( ne, मौसमी गुरुङ) is a popular singer, songwriter of Nepal. Childhood Gurung is the eldest daughter of Naina Singh Gurung and Chini Maya Gurung-Ciszar. She has two siblings, a brother and a sister. She was a very shy person as a kid. She loved singing since she was a young girl. Kishor Gurung
Kishor Gurung ( ne, किशोर गुरुङ) is a Nepalese guitarist and ethnomusicologist. Biography Kishor Gurung comes from a musical family; the first instrument he played was the tabla drums. Khem Raj Gurung
Khem Raj Gurung was a Nepali musician and singer. Many of his songs such as "Wari Jamuna Pari Jamuna" and "Bhanchhan Budapakhale" were the biggest chartbusters of their time. He was known for singing traditional and cultural songs which had moral lessons. He was one of the top singers in Nepal during the 1990s and 2000s. Ciney Gurung ( ne, सिने गुरुङ) is a singer, composer, and songwriter originally from Kurseong, Darjeeling and lives in Nepal now. She began her career with the hit songs "Timro Mayama" and "Mann".
