Nellu (2010 Film)
''Nellu'' is a 2010 Indian Tamil language drama film written and directed by M. Shiva Shankar. It stars Sathya and debutante Bhagyanjali in the lead roles, while Senthil Rajan has handled the camera and S. S. Kumaran has composed the music. The film is based on the Kilvenmani massacre incident that happened in 1968. Plot This film also speaks about the caste differences between the landlords and the farmers. Kilvenmani Massacre
The Kilvenmani massacre (or Keezhvenmani massacre) was an incident in Kizhavenmani village, Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu state in India on 25 December 1968 in which a group of around 44 people, the families of striking Dalit village labourers, were murdered by a gang, allegedly led by their landlords. The chief accused was Gopalakrishnan Naidu.Meanwhile, at Irinjiur village in Anakkudi Panchayat, the family of Gopalakrishna Naidu, the landlord who allegedly orchestrated the massacre has sought police protection this year, considering this is the 50th anniversary of the incident. Kaali Venkat (born 5 May 1984) is an Indian actor who mainly appears in Tamil language films. Personal life Venkat hails from Kudaiyadevanpatti a village near Kovilpatti. Bonda Mani is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He has worked in comedy and supporting roles in over 270 films.
