Township (Taiwan)
Townships are the third-level administrative subdivisions of counties of the Republic of China (Taiwan), along with county-administered cities. After World War II, the townships were established from the following conversions on the Japanese administrative divisions: Although local laws do not enforce strict standards for classifying them, generally urban townships have a larger population and more business and industry than rural townships, but not to the extent of county-administered cities. Under townships, there is still the village as the fourth or basic level of administration. Pingtung County
Pingtung County is a county located in southern Taiwan. It has a warm tropical monsoon climate and is known for its agriculture and tourism. Kenting National Park, Taiwan's oldest national park, is located in the county. The county seat is Pingtung City. Meiho University
Meiho University (MU; ) is an accredited, private university in Neipu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. It has nearly 8,000 students. MU is known for its nursing program. History The university began in 1966 as Taiwan's first private nursing college named Meiho Junior College of Nursing. In 1990, the school was renamed to Meiho Junior College of Nursing and Management and again renamed to Meiho Institute of Technology in 1999. In 2010, the school was renamed Meiho University. National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST; ) is a leading public university in Neipu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. NPUST occupies the in all of Taiwan. It was established in April 1924 as the Kaohsiung District Pingtung Extension School of Agriculture and over the years it has undergone several restructurings and name changes. Liudui Hakka Cultural Park
The Liudui Hakka Cultural Park () is a cultural center in Neipu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan about Hakka people. History The park was originally a tobacco barn area which was constructed in 1961. In 2009, the owner decided to donate the area and facilities. The area was then converted to Liudui Hakka Cultural Park and was opened on 22 October 2011. Wu Pao-chun (, born 5 September 1970) is a Taiwanese baker best known for winning the title of Master Baker in the bread category of the 2010 Bakery Masters competition held in Paris.
