Neil Sargeant
Neil Fredrick Sargeant (born 8 November 1965) is a former English cricketer. Sargeant was a right-handed batsman who played primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was born in Hammersmith, London. Sargeant made his first-class debut for Surrey against Gloucestershire in the 1989 County Championship. From 1989 to 1995, he represented the county in 52 first-class matches, the last of which came against Hampshire. In his 52 first-class, he scored 786 runs at a batting average of 14.03, with high score of 49. In the field and behind the stumps, he took 121 catches and made 16 stumpings. It was for Surrey that he made his debut in List A cricket against Kent in the 1990 Refuge Assurance League. From 1990 to 1995, he represented the county in 15 List A matches, the last of which came against Hampshire in the 1995 AXA Equity and Law League. Catch (cricket)
Caught is a method of dismissing a batsman in cricket. A batsman is out caught if the batsman hits the ball, from a legitimate delivery, with the bat, and the ball is caught by the bowler or a fielder before it hits the ground. If the ball hits the stumps after hitting the wicket-keeper, If the wicket-keeper fails to do this, the delivery is a "no ball", and the batsman cannot be stumped (nor run out, unless he attempts to run to the other wicket.) 2000 NatWest Trophy
The 2000 NatWest Trophy was the 20th and last NatWest Trophy before being renamed as the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy for the 2001 season. It was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 2 May and 26 August 2000. The tournament was won by Gloucestershire who defeated Warwickshire by 22 runs in the final at Lord's. Format The 18 first-class counties, were joined by all twenty Minor Counties, plus Huntingdonshire. Sussex County Cricket Club
Sussex County Cricket Club is the oldest of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Sussex. Its limited overs team is called the Sussex Sharks. Alec James Stewart (born 8 April 1963) is an English former cricketer, and former captain of the England cricket team, who played Test cricket and One Day Internationals as a right-handed wicket-keeper-batsman.
