Neil Mason
Neil Mason (born March 9, 1977) is an American Volleyball Coach at the TCA Volleyball (2000–present). Personal life Mason was born in Ontario, Canada, and received his degree from California State University of Long Beach in 2000. Playing career Mason spent his college career playing for the 49ers of Long Beach State as a scholarship athlete Neil played for Coach Alan Knipe. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2000, Mason was an Academic All American, a President Ambassador, and a member of the Presidential List while at the Beach. Along with his academic successes, Mason was also successful on the court as part of the 1999 Men's Volleyball Team that went on to be runners-up in the NCAA National Championship that year. Coaching career Mason started coaching at TCA in 2000. Following his time with TCA Volleyball, Mason did work with the USA Volleyball High Performance Team from 2005 to 2010 under the tutelage of Doug Beal. TCA Volleyball
The Trinity Christian Academy Volleyball Club is a multi-state volleyball club. The club operates in many U.S. states, such as Texas, California, and Virginia. History TCA Volleyball Club was created by Neil Mason in 2000. TCA has won 3 National Championships. In 2004, they won the 17-Open National Championship. TCA’s win marked the first ever-gold medal by TCA at the Junior Olympics. In 2006, Taylor Carico led her team to Gold in the 18-Open National Championship. After only 5 years in existence, TCA won its second gold medal and placed first in the 18-Open Division. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (with 9 located in Southern California alone) and one is located in Hawaii. United States Men's National Volleyball Team
The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. The United States Volleyball Association was formed in 1927, and was the founding member of FIVB in 1947. However, by the time of volleyball's international growth in the 1940s, the US was no longer a major power. They competed in the inaugural volleyball Olympic tournament in 1964. Alan Knipe
Alan Knipe (born January 1, 1969) is the head coach of the Long Beach State 49ers men's volleyball team and head coach of the 2012 Olympic Team United States men's national volleyball team. He played and coached at Long Beach State. As a player, he helped the team win the 1991 NCAA championship and an appearance in the 1990 NCAA Championships. and as a coach, he has guided them to seven final four appearances (2004, 2008, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022) and two national championships (2018, 2019). As a player, assistant coach and head coach, Knipe has helped Long Beach to 10 of the programs 12 NCAA Final four appearances. Doug Beal (born March 4, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American volleyball player and coach, a former USA Volleyball CEO, and a member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
