Neil Cox
Neil James Cox (born 8 October 1971) is an English former professional footballer and manager who was last in charge of EFL League Two side Scunthorpe United. A defender capable of playing at centre or right-back, he made over 500 appearances in the Football League during his career and was capped at Under-21 level by England. He began his career at Scunthorpe United as a youth player and was eventually offered a professional contract by the club, breaking into the first-team soon after. In 1991, Cox joined First Division side Aston Villa for a fee of £400,000, going on to make over 50 appearances for the side in all competitions, including playing in the club's victory over Manchester United in the 1994 Football League Cup Final, but struggled to establish himself in the first-team. AFC Wimbledon
AFC Wimbledon is an English professional Association football, football club, based in London Borough of Merton, Merton, London, that plays in the EFL League Two, after being relegated from the EFL League One following the 2021–22 EFL League One, 2021–22 season. The club's home stadium is Plough Lane. Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin. The competition was based on two points for a win from 1888 until the increase to three points for a win in 1981. Mick Buxton
Michael James Buxton (born 29 May 1943) is a former footballer and football manager in England. He has managed Huddersfield Town, Scunthorpe United and Sunderland. Playing career During his playing career, Buxton played in the Football League for both Burnley and Halifax Town, making a total of 53 professional appearances in nine seasons. Richard Hall (footballer)
Richard Anthony Hall (born 14 March 1972) is an English football coach and former professional footballer, who is an under-23's coach at Colchester United. As a player, he was defender who played in the Premier League for both Southampton and West Ham United, having previously played in the Football League with Scunthorpe United. He made over 30 appearances for Scunthorpe before being signed by Southampton for £200,000 in February 1991. After five years with the south-coast club and over 120 league appearances, Hall earned a £1.4 million move to West Ham in the summer of 1996. He made just eight appearances for the club before he was forced to retire from injury in 1999. While with Southampton, Hall made eleven appearances for England at under-21 level. Graham Alexander
Graham Alexander (born 10 October 1971) is a professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell. In a lengthy playing career, Alexander represented Scunthorpe United, Luton Town, Preston North End and Burnley. He also made 40 international appearances for Scotland. For most of his career, Alexander played as a specialist at right-back, but was also deployed in defensive midfield early on in his career with Scunthorpe. Frank Charles Barlow (born 15 October 1946) is an English former footballer who moved into coaching and club management since retiring from playing. Born in Mexborough, England, he spent the bulk of his playing career at Sheffield United before moving to Chesterfield for a spell. Neal Ardley
Neal Christopher Ardley (born 1 September 1972) is an English professional football manager and former player who played as a right midfielder. He is currently the manager of Solihull Moors. Ardley was capped at Under-21 level by England. Ardley spent the majority of his career with Wimbledon, making his debut for them on 20 April 1991 at the age of 18 in a 2–1 away win over Aston Villa in the Football League First Division. He went on to make over 100 appearances for Watford before having spells at Cardiff City and Millwall. The Non-League Paper
''The Non-League Paper'' is a weekly English sports paper based on non-League football. It is published every Sunday. For a short while a midweek edition was also published. The publication features match reports from the previous day's top four levels of English non-league football with round-ups of step five divisions. Results and tables from steps 5 and 6 are also featured as are the results and a selection of tables from step 7. A round-up of football in Wales is included and the scores from senior Scottish non-league football are featured in the results section. A results round-up from the previous week's midweek matches is also included. In addition, there are a number of pages devoted to news from the non-league scene. During the close season the Paper becomes more feature-based, with reviews of the top leagues and more feature articles. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world.
