Negazione
Negazione was a hardcore punk band based in Turin, Italy during the 1980s and early 1990s. Formed in 1983, they were one of the most important bands of the hardcore punk scene in Italy at the time. They were one of the early bands of the Italian hardcore punk scene, like Raw Power (band), Raw Power and Wretched (punk band), Wretched. The band broke up in 1992, their last show being at that year's Monsters of Rock festival. Bass guitarist Marco Mathieu died on 24 December 2021, at the age of 57. He was in a coma since 2017 after suffering a stroke. Raw Power (band)
Raw Power is an Italian hardcore punk band from Reggio Emilia, formed in 1981 and still active. History Raw Power was formed in 1981 in Poviglio, in the Italian province of Reggio Emilia, by brothers Mauro (vocals) and Giuseppe Codeluppi (guitar). Through the years the band has lived through several line-up changes and the two brothers were the only stable members until Giuseppe's death in 2002. The band's name came from The Stooges, The Stooges’s Raw Power, third album. Previously, the Codeluppi brothers had played in another band called Off Limits. Other members in Raw Power's first line-up were Silvio (guitar and vocals), bassist Maurizio Dodi (who came from punk band Chelsea Hotel) and teenager drummer Helder Stefanini. In 1983 they recorded a 19-track demo (sometimes referred as ''Brown Studio Tape'') and two songs appeared in the Italian punk compilation, ''Raptus''. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Neffa
Giovanni Pellino (born 7 October 1967), best known as Neffa, is an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper, composer, producer and musician. Life and career Born in Scafati, at young age Pellino moved to Bologna with his family. In the late 1980s he adopted the stage name Jeff Pellino and was a drummer in several rock and punk bands, notably Negazione. In 1991, he joined the hip hop ensemble Isola Posse All Stars and adopted the stage name "Neffa" in honour of Paraguayan footballer Gustavo Neffa, at the time playing with U.S. Cremonese. After the album ''SXM'' with the rap group Sangue Misto, in 1996 Neffa started his solo career, with the successful album ''I messaggeri della dopa'' which was led by the single "Aspettando il sole". Monsters of Rock was an annual hard rock and heavy metal music festival held in Castle Donington, England, from 1980 to 1996, taking place every year except 1989 and 1993. It later branched into other locations such as the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States, and the Soviet Union.
