Neend
''Neend'' is a Pakistani drama film directed by Hassan Tariq in his directorial debut and released in 1959. Based on a story and screenplay by Riaz Shahid, the films stars Noor Jehan, Neelo and Aslam Pervaiz with Nighat Sultana, Allauddin and Agha Talish in supporting roles. The music was done by Rashid Attre while Noor Jehan also sang two songs of the film. ''Neend'' is one of the last films of Noor Jahan, after which she retired from acting. The film was a hit at the box office and was later remade by the director in 1977 as '' Begum Jaan''. Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash (also known as Agha Talish, ur, ) (13 November 1923 – 19 February 1998) was a Pakistani actor who made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing character actor or villain roles. Talish was honoured by a Pride of Performance award, by the Government of Pakistan in 1989. Life and career Talish was born in Ludhiana, British India in 1923. His breakthrough film in Pakistan was film producer Saifuddin Saif's ''Saat Lakh'' (1957) where his on-screen performance for this popular hit song was widely admired, ''Yaaro Mujhe Maaf Rakho Mein Nashe Mein Hoon''. Nighat Sultana
Nighat Sultana was a Pakistani actress. She acted in both Urdu and Punjabi films and is known for her roles in films ''Chann Mahi'', ''Umar Marvi'', ''Saat Lakh'', ''Insaf'', ''Insan Badalta Hay'', ''Neend'', '' Dil Mera Dharkan Teri'', ''Afsana Zindagi Ka'' and ''Kabhi Alwida Na Kehna''. Riaz Shahid
Riaz Shahid (1927 – 1 October 1972) was a Pakistani filmmaker, film writer, and a journalist. Early life and career Riaz Shahid was born in 1927 in Quetta, British India. He belonged to a Punjabi Kashmiri family. He was the father of a famous Pakistani film star Shaan Shahid. Shaan was only one year old, when his father died. His real name was ''Sheikh Riaz'', but was called by his nickname ''Shahid''. He was educated at Islamia College, Lahore, Pakistan. Hassan Tariq (22 October 1934 – 24 April 1982) was a Pakistani film director, film producer and screenwriter who was famous for making films like Anjuman, Kaneez, Baharo Phool Barsao, ''Dewar Bhabhi''. Aslam Parvez (12 February 1932 – 21 November 1984) was a Pakistani film actor. Career Born as Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam into a family of traders in Lahore, Punjab, British India on 12 February 1932. Aslam Parvez entered the Pakistani film industry in the year 1955 at the age of 23. He started his film career in film producer Anwar Kamal Pasha's film ''Qatil'' (1955) as a side hero.
