Neela Padmanabhan ( ta, நீல பத்பநாபன், born. 26 April 1938), is a Tamil writer from Nagercoil, India. He also writes in Malayalam. Biography Neela Padmanabhan was born in Kanyakumari District. He obtained a B. Sc in Physics and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Kerala University. He worked in the Kerala State Electricity Board till his retirement in 1993. His first noted work was the novel ''Thalaimuraigal'' (lit. ''Generations''). He has written 20 novels, 10 short story collections, 4 volumes of poetry and 7 essay collections in Tamil. Neila Sathyalingam
Neila Sathyalingam (8 February 1938 – 9 March 2017) was a Singaporean classical Indian dancer, choreographer and instructor of Sri Lankan Tamil origin. An alumna of Kalakshetra in Madras (now Chennai) under the tutelage of Srimathi Rukmini Devi Arundale, she emigrated with her family to Singapore in 1974. In 1977 she and her husband founded the performance arts company Apsaras Arts, which has staged performances throughout the world. She was the company's artistic director and continued to teach dance. In 1983, Neila was appointed the dance instructor and choreographer for the Indian Dance Group of the People's Association (PA)—a state board in Singapore—where she remained a resident choreographer. Neela Satyanarayanan (née Mandake) (pronounced ; 5 February 1948 – 16 July 2020) was an Indian author and civil servant. She was the first female State Election Commissioner in Maharashtra. Biography Satyanarayanan was born on 5 February 1948 in Mumbai to Sushila and Vasudev Mandake. Her father was a police officer. She studied in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik, graduating from the Delhi School Board with a focus on Sanskrit. She entered the Indian Administrative Service after completing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Satyanarayanan was diagnosed with COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in India in July 2020, and died at the age of 72, following complications in Mumbai, on 16 July 2020. Niladevi (), also rendered as Neela Devi, is a Hindu goddess, and a consort of the preserver deity Vishnu, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. Niladevi is regarded to be one of Vishnu's consorts, named Nagnajiti, in his avatar as Krishna, along with Sridevi as Rukmini, and Bhudevi as Satyabhama.
