History Early years (1983–1997) Necrophagia was formed by Frank "Killjoy" Pucci in 1983. The band name is derived from the act of cannibalizing, or eating a corpse. Their first full-length album, ''Season of the Dead'', was recorded and released in 1987. In 1990, Necrophagia intended to issue an album named ''Ready for Death'', which had been recorded in 1986. But, the band split up, and ''Ready for Death'' was bootlegged in the tape trading scene. ''Ready for Death'' was finally released as part of the ''A Legacy of Horror, Gore and Sickness'' compilation album in 2000. Mayhem (band)
Mayhem is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Langhus in 1984. They were one of the founders of the Norwegian black metal scene and their music has strongly influenced the black metal genre. Mayhem's early career was highly controversial, primarily due to their notorious live performances, the 1991 suicide of vocalist Per Yngve Ohlin ("Dead") and the 1993 murder of guitarist Øystein Aarseth ("Euronymous") by former member Varg Vikernes ("Count Grishnackh") of Burzum. The group released a demo and an EP that were highly influential, and amassed a loyal following through sporadic and notorious live performances, attracting further attention through their ties to the string of Norwegian church burnings and the incidents of violence surrounding them. Mayhem disbanded after Aarseth's murder, shortly before the release of their debut album, ''De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas'', regarded as a classic of the black metal genre. Surviving former members Jan Axel Blomberg ("Hellhammer"), ...

Goblin (band)
Goblin (also Back to the Goblin, New Goblin, Goblin Rebirth, the Goblin Keys, the Goblins and Claudio Simonetti's Goblin) is an Italian progressive rock band known for their film scores. They frequently collaborate with Dario Argento, most notably creating the scores for ''Profondo Rosso'' in 1975 and ''Suspiria'' in 1977. Because their collaborator Dario Argento specializes in creating horror, suspense and slasher/giallo genre movies, scores made by Goblin in these movies often had eerie and ominous tones. CD re-releases of their scores have performed well, especially in Germany and Japan. Goblin returned with a series of live concerts in Europe in 2009 and in North America in 2013. Initially recording as Cherry Five (they had done some live shows as Oliver), their early work spawned one eponymous progressive rock record, and they were then called in to compose the score for ''Profondo Rosso''. The band changed their name to Goblin, rewriting most of the score, originally writt ...
