Nebetia
Nebetia was an ancient Egyptian princess of the 18th Dynasty. She was the granddaughter of Pharaoh Thutmose IV and the daughter of Prince Siatum. She is one of the few examples of a pharaoh's granddaughter bearing the title of ''King's Daughter'' – the ancient Egyptian equivalent of "princess" – which normally belonged only to women whose fathers actually ruled. The mummy-label, which states her title and the name of her father is one of only two sources Siatum's existence. The label was found in the Sheikh Abd el-Qurna cache. Nebetia's mummy – along with several others – had been reburied during the 21st Dynasty The Twenty-first Dynasty of Egypt (notated Dynasty XXI, alternatively 21st Dynasty or Dynasty 21) is usually classified as the first Dynasty of the Ancient Egyptian Third Intermediate Period, lasting from 1077 BC to 943 BC. Sheikh Abd El-Qurna Cache
The Sheikh Abd el-Qurna cache was discovered in 1857 by Alexander Henry Rhind. The tomb is located at the foothills of Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, near TT131. It had been sealed with a wall carrying the seal of Pharaoh Amenhotep III Amenhotep III ( egy, jmn-ḥtp(.w), ''Amānəḥūtpū'' , "Amun is Satisfied"; Hellenized as Amenophis III), also known as Amenhotep the Magnificent or Amenhotep the Great, was the ninth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. According to different .... The tomb contained bones, bandages and several disturbed mummies. It also contained several wooden labels with inscriptions mentioning several royal women. The label for Princess Nebetia has an inscription mentioning year 27. This is thought to refer to year 27 of Psusennes I during which the princesses may have been reburied.Aidan Dodson and Jac. J. Siatum
Siatum was an ancient Egyptian prince of the 18th Dynasty. He was likely one of the sons of Pharaoh Thutmose IV and thus the brother or half-brother of Amenhotep III. His existence is known from two sources: one is a mummy-label found on the mummy of his daughter Nebetia, where he is mentioned as her father; the other is a Saqqaran relief of his tutor, Meryre, where a person named Siatum is depicted sitting on Meryre's knee. There is no direct evidence linking the two persons – Nebetia's father and Meryre's pupil – together, but the style of the relief dates it to Amenhotep's reign, so Meryre must have been tutor either during Amenhotep's or his predecessor's reign, and Siatum's name corresponds to part of Thutmose's Horus name The Horus name is the oldest known and used crest of ancient Egyptian rulers. It belongs to the " great five names" of an Egyptian pharaoh. However, modern Egyptologists and linguists are starting to prefer the more neutral term: the "serekh nam . ...

Thutmose IV
Thutmose IV (sometimes read as Thutmosis or Tuthmosis IV, Thothmes in older history works in Latinized Greek; egy, ḏḥwti.msi(.w) "Thoth is born") was the 8th Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, who ruled in approximately the 14th century BC. His prenomen or royal name, Menkheperure, means "Established in forms is Re." He was the son of Amenhotep II and Tiaa. Life Thutmose IV was born to Amenhotep II and Tiaa, but was not actually the crown prince and Amenhotep II's chosen successor to the throne. Some scholars speculate that Thutmose ousted his older brother in order to usurp power and then commissioned the Dream Stele in order to justify his unexpected kingship. Thutmose's most celebrated accomplishment was the restoration of the Great Sphinx of Giza and subsequent commission of the Dream Stele. According to Thutmose's account on the Dream Stele, while the young prince was out on a hunting trip, he stopped to rest under the head of the Sphinx, which was buried up to t ...

Twenty-first Dynasty Of Egypt
The Twenty-first Dynasty of Egypt (notated Dynasty XXI, alternatively 21st Dynasty or Dynasty 21) is usually classified as the first Dynasty of the Ancient Egyptian Third Intermediate Period, lasting from 1077 BC to 943 BC. History After the reign of Ramesses III, a long, slow decline of royal power in Egypt followed. The pharaohs of the Twenty-first Dynasty ruled from Tanis, but were mostly active only in Lower Egypt, which they controlled. This dynasty is described as 'Tanite' because its political capital was based at Tanis. Meanwhile, the High Priests of Amun at Thebes effectively ruled Middle and Upper Egypt in all but name. The later Egyptian Priest Manetho of Sebennytos states in his Epitome on Egyptian royal history that "the 21st Dynasty of Egypt lasted for 130 years".Kenneth A. Princesses Of The Eighteenth Dynasty Of Egypt
Princess is a regal rank and the feminine equivalent of prince (from Latin ''princeps'', meaning principal citizen). Most often, the term has been used for the consort of a prince, or for the daughter of a king or prince. Princess as a substantive title Some princesses are reigning monarchs of principalities. There have been fewer instances of reigning princesses than reigning princes, as most principalities excluded women from inheriting the throne. Examples of princesses regnant have included Constance of Antioch, princess regnant of Antioch in the 12th century. Since the President of France, an office for which women are eligible, is ''ex-officio'' a Co-Prince of Andorra, then Andorra could theoretically be jointly ruled by a princess. Princess as a courtesy title Descendants of monarchs For many centuries, the title "princess" was not regularly used for a monarch's daughter, who, in English, might simply be called "Lady". Old English had no female equivalent of "prince ...
