Nea Palatia (Greek: Νέα Παλάτια literally "New Palaces") is a community in East Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Oropos, of which it is a community. It is part of Athens metropolitan area. Geography Nea Palatia is a seaside town, situated on the south coast of the South Euboean Gulf. The town Skala Oropou is directly adjacent to its west. It is 8 km south of Eretria (on the island Euboea). Attica ( el, Περιφέρεια Αττικής, translit=Periféria Attikís, ) is an administrative region of Greece, that encompasses the entire metropolitan area of Athens, the country's capital and largest city. The region is coextensive with the former Attica Prefecture of Central Greece. It covers a greater area than the historical region of Attica. Oropos
Oropos ( el, Ωρωπός) is a small town and a municipality in East Attica, Greece. The village of Skala Oropou, within the bounds of the municipality, was the site an important ancient Greek city, Oropus, and the famous nearby sanctuary of Amphiaraos is stll visible today. Eretria
Eretria (; el, Ερέτρια, , grc, Ἐρέτρια, , literally 'city of the rowers') is a town in Euboea, Greece, facing the coast of Attica across the narrow South Euboean Gulf. It was an important Greek polis in the 6th and 5th century BC, mentioned by many famous writers and actively involved in significant historical events. Euboea
