Naushad Moosa
Naushad Moosa (born 10 February 1971) is a former Indian footballer who mostly worked as head coach of Bengaluru FC Reserves and Academy. During his playing days, Moosa played for East Bengal, Mahindra United, and Mohammedan in the National Football League and I-League. He also represented India from 1994 to 1998. Playing career Moosa began his football career as a player with East Bengal F.C. who he played for in the National Football League. On 9 November 1997 Moosa played a part in East Bengal's historic victory over J. League Division 1 side Verdy Kawasaki in the Asian Cup Winners Cup in which a Samuel Omollo's goal in the 61st minute led to East Bengal winning the match 1–0 at the Salt Lake Stadium, however East Bengal were still out of the tournament as Verdy won the first leg of the two-legged event by a score of 5–2. IFA Shield
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association. The IFA is the governing body of football in the state of West Bengal, came into existence in 1893. Named after the association, the IFA Shield tournament was started in the same year. It is the third oldest football tournament in India, after Durand Cup and Trades Cup, and the one of the oldest football competitions in the world. The royal houses of Patiala and Cooch Behar, A.A. Apcar of Armenian Club and J Sutherland of Dalhousie AC had financially contributed for the inception of the Shield. The coveted shield was designed by Walter Locke & Co. 1999–2000 Santosh Trophy
The 1999–2000 Santosh Trophy was the 56th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main State competition for football in India. It was held from 9 to 23 April 2000 in Thrissur and Chalakudy, Kerala. Santosh Trophy
The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played and gained honour while playing in the Santosh Trophy. SAFF Championship
The South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly known as SAFF Championship (previously known as ''South Asian Association of Regional Co-operation Gold Cup'' and ''South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup''), is the main international association football competition of the men's national football teams governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Carles Cuadrat Xiqués (born 28 October 1968) is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of Indian Super League club East Bengal. Cuadrat was a defender, who played as a left-back and spent most of his career with Spanish club CF Gavà. He also played for FC Barcelona reserves as well as the Spanish national youth teams. After retiring as a player, Cuadrat started working as a conditioning coach with various Barcelona teams from 1998 to 2005. He also played the same role in Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia national team from 2008 to 2013. In 2014, he joined El Salvador national team as an assistant coach. I-League U20
The Youth League, also known as Hero Youth League for sponsorship reasons, is a system of youth football leagues that are managed, organised and controlled by the All India Football Federation. It consists of 3 age groups competitions: U17 (Elite Youth League), U15 (Junior League) and U13 (Sub-Junior League). History The league was founded as the I-League U19 in 2008 which was to give youth teams of the I-League a national league to play in as at that time the I-League youth teams only played in state youth leagues.
