Nattupura Nayagan
''Nattupura Nayagan'' () is a 1997 Tamil language drama film directed by Rama Narayanan. The film stars Selva, Swathi and newcomer Timea. The film had musical score by S. A. Rajkumar and was released on 4 July 1997. A. L. Alagappan co-produced the film. Plot Allimuthu is the lead performer of a Karakattam group based out of a village. Ranjani, who studied in London, returns to her village in India. She is a modern and arrogant girl, and the daughter of the rich landlord Pannaiyar. Despite having different upbringings and social status, Allimuthu and Ranjani both fall in love with each other. Allimuthu then gets an opportunity to perform in Delhi, there he meets a Britain girl named Timea who is fond of Tamil culture. Upon his return, Allimuthu is accompanied by Timea. Rama Narayanan
Rama Narayanan (3 April 1949 – 22 June 2014) was an Indian film director and producer. In the 1980s, he was known as a director who specialized in shooting commercial films in which animals played vital roles, while in the 1990s, several of his films were based on Hindu devotional subjects. He has also headed the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) for three consecutive elections, before resigning in 2011. He died on 22 June 2014 at a Singapore hospital due to kidney-related ailments. Career Narayanan came to Chennai intending to become a songwriter, but he became a dialogue writer for films. He and his friend M. A. Khaja started to write dialogues together under the pen name Ram-Rahim. In 1976, Narayanan wrote his first story, screenplay and dialogue for the film ''Aasai Arubadhu Naal''. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood.
