National First-class Library
The national first-class, first-level or first-grade libraries (in ) are state-level libraries that have been deliberated and decided upon by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. The seventh evaluation was conducted in 2023. Requirements National first-level libraries must meet six standards: * The building area should not be less than 6,000 square meters. * The annual subsidy funding should not be less than 800,000 RMB. * The ratio of staff with a college degree or above should not be less than 60% of the total workforce. * The annual total number of books added to the collection should not be less than 5,000. * The annual number of books lent outside should not be less than 200,000 times. * The score for "modern technology equipment, database construction, and automation network construction" evaluation should not be less than 80 points. State Council Of The People's Republic Of China
The State Council, constitutionally synonymous with the Central People's Government since 1954 (particularly in relation to local governments), is the chief administrative authority of the People's Republic of China. It is chaired by the premier and includes each cabinet-level executive department's executive chief. Currently, the council has 35 members: the premier, one executive vice premier, three other vice premiers, five state councilors (of whom three are also ministers and one is also the secretary-general), and 26 in charge of the Council's constituent departments. The State Council directly oversees provincial-level People's Governments, and in practice maintains membership with the top levels of the CCP. The Shanxi Provincial Library (), also known as the Shanxi Library, is a Taiyuan-based comprehensive provincial-level public library, located in Changfeng Business Area, Taiyuan City, Shanxi, China. History The construction of the Shanxi Provincial Library began in 1908 and was completed in 1909. On 28 August 1960, the building of the Shanxi Provincial Library was inaugurated and opened to the public independently. In July 2013, the New Hall of Shanxi Provincial Library was opened, with a total construction area of about 50,000 square metres and a total investment of 350 million yuan. Heilongjiang Provincial Library
Heilongjiang Provincial Library () is the largest library in Heilongjiang Province, as well as a major provincial library in China. It houses important scientific, cultural and arts literature relating to Northeast China and other national historical records such as ancient Chinese and foreign publications. History In 1907, the governor of Heilongjiang General established Heilongjiang Library in Qiqihar, the former capital of Heilongjiang. In 1954, after the merger of Heilongjiang and Songjiang provinces, Harbin was established the new capital of Heilongjiang Province. Therefore Heilongjiang Provincial government prepared for the construction of new Heilongjiang Provincial Library since 1957, and opened for public service in 1962. Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). The province is bordered by Jilin to the south and Inner Mongolia to the west. Yanbian Library
Yanbian Library (, ko, 연변도서관) is a library located in Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China. With a collection of over 80 thousand books in Korean, it is the largest and the only one Korean literature collection center in China. History Yanbian Library was constructed in February 1949. People's Government of Jilin Province formally named the library as "Yanbian Library" on 6 January 1955. In order to solve the problem of saturation of the building, the library was moved to the western part of Yanji City in 2012. Jilin
Jilin (; alternately romanized as Kirin or Chilin) is one of the three provinces of Northeast China. Its capital and largest city is Changchun.
