National YoungArts Foundation
YoungArts (previously National YoungArts Foundation and National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, or NFAA) is an American charity established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison to help nurture emerging high-school artists. The foundation is based in Miami, Florida. Alumni of the program include Timothée Chalamet, Jessica Darrow, Kerry Washington, Matt Bomer, Billy Porter, Anna Gunn, Andrew Rannells, Kimiko Glenn, Ben Levi Ross, Sam Lipsyte, Chris Young, Neal Dodson, Viola Davis, Nicki Minaj, Doug Aitken, and Max Schneider. In 1981, Ted Arison gave $5 million to launch the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. Lin Arison
Marilyn "Lin" Arison is the co-founder of the National YoungArts Foundation and the New World Symphony. She is the widow of Ted Arison, founder of Carnival Cruise Lines, and a real estate investor in Florida. Arison is an arts education advocate and a philanthropist. Christopher Alan Young (born June 12, 1985) is an American country music singer and songwriter. In 2006, he was the Season 4 winner of the television program ''Nashville Star'', a singing competition on USA. After winning, he was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his Chris Young (album), self-titled debut album that same year.
