National Sports Training Center Football Team
National Sports Training Center is a football team based in Tainan, and is the football club for Taiwan's National Sports Training Center. It was merged in 2003 with the Lukuang football team, Taiwan's land army football team, after the option of alternate service in the Taiwanese militia. It participated in Taiwan Football Premier League. History Formerly known as the Lukuang football team () or Taiwan Army football team, the NTSC football team belonged to the Republic of China Army and competed in the Chinese Taipei National Football League. Since the Republic of China has the policy of conscription for all male citizens, qualified footballers could choose to join the Lukuang football team instead of the regular militia service after passing the tryouts. It helped the players to keep their form and provided additional selection and management to the Chinese Taipei national football team. Conscription In The Republic Of China
Taiwan has maintained a policy of conscription for all qualified males of military age since 1951. The Taiwanese government planned originally to end this policy in 2014, but abolishing conscription is controversial among Taiwanese society, and hence the government has not yet created a firm schedule for its abolition. Females from the outlying islands within the province of Fuchien, which are geographically closest to mainland China, were also required to serve in a civil defense role, although this requirement has been dropped since the lifting of martial law. Enterprise Football League 2007
The 2007 season of the Enterprise Football League, also known as Fubon Enterprise Football League, consisted of four teams who play each other team twice. It was co-sponsored by Fubon Financial Holding Co. and Taiwan Cement Corporation. Taiwan Power Company F.C. won the league title and would represent Chinese Taipei to compete in AFC President's Cup 2008. League format The league consisted of two rounds, with each team playing each other team once per round for a total of twelve games. The order in which teams played in the first round was chosen at random, while the order in the second round was determined by the position of the league on the league table. The first round was played in January 2007 and the second round was played in March 2007.
