National Reserve Corps
The National Reserve Corps (Dutch: ''Korps Nationale Reserve'', abbreviated Natres) is a part of the Royal Netherlands Army. NATRES is a corps in the sense that it has a specialized task. The reservist is, like all Dutch military personnel, a military volunteer. History Since the 13th century, the Dutch government has relied on voluntary armed citizens to defend their homes and to maintain public order. At first this task was carried out by so-called 'shooter guilds'. In the 16th century the voluntary armed citizens, under the influence of William I, Prince of Orange, were organised into militias. These militias were dissolved in 1908. The outbreak of the First World War and the growing foreign threat lead to the formation of a new unit called the 'Voluntary Landstorm' on the 4 August 1914. 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade
The 11 Air Assault Brigade ( nl, 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade) is the rapid light infantry brigade of the Royal Netherlands Army, focused on conducting air assault operations. Troops of the brigade are qualified to wear the maroon beret upon completion of the demanding training course, those qualified as military parachutists wear the appropriate parachutist wings. The brigade was handed the name '7 December' when the First Division 7 December was disbanded in 2004. Since 2014, the brigade has been integrated into the Rapid Forces Division (german: link=no, Division Schnelle Kräfte) of the German Army. Overijssel (, ; nds, Oaveriessel ; german: Oberyssel) is a Provinces of the Netherlands, province of the Netherlands located in the eastern part of the country. 43 Gemechaniseerde (Mechanized) Brigade
43 Mechanised Brigade ( nl, 43 Gemechaniseerde Brigade) is one of the three combat brigades of the Royal Netherlands Army, the others being the 13th Light Brigade and 11th Airmobile Brigade. The brigade has armored and non-armored vehicles at its disposal, and is tasked with conducting combat operations, peacekeeping and various ceremonial tasks. On 17 March 2016, the 43rd Mechanised Brigade was integrated into the 1st Panzer Division of the German Army. At the same time, the German 414 Tank Battalion became subordinate to the 43rd Mechanised Brigade.
