National Eagle Scouts Of The Philippines
The National Eagle Scouts Association of the Philippines otherwise known as the “NESAPh” is the Premiere Honor Society of Eagle Scouts in the Philippines. It is a voluntary, non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit association of Eagle Scouts supporting the causes of Scouting and the thrusts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines by the ideals, purpose and principles, and methods conceived by the Founder of Scouting. History Motivated by the necessity to establish a unifying service organization for like-minded Eagle Scouts in Bulacan, Bro. Paolo R. Cruz sought the assistance and guidance of Bro. Karl Lyel B. Lim in organizing ceremonies for a new Brotherhood of Eagle Scouts. The inaugural ceremony, inspired by various organizations' ideals, practices, and traditions, took place in Calumpit, Bulacan, on 24 February 2018, resulting in the formation of the initial batch of thirty-four members. Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts Of The Philippines)
Eagle Scout is the highest rank awarded to a Senior Scout in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). To be awarded the rank, a Scout must lead in planning and doing two community service projects and earn a total of 23 merit badges consisting of 17 required merit badges and 2 specialist ratings (a specialist rating involves 3 related merit badges and a community service project). After achieving the rank of Eagle, a Scout may earn an Anahaw award for earning 2 additional specialist ratings. The term ''Eagle Scout'', ''Eagle'', or ''Agila'' is used to refer to a person who was given the award. The award's name was derived from the Eagle Scout awarded by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Eagle Scout
Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process. The Eagle Scout rank has been earned by over 2.5 million youth. Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges. The Eagle Scout must demonstrate Scout Spirit, an ideal attitude based upon the Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements. José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (, ; June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896) was a Filipino nationalist, writer and polymath active at the end of the Spanish colonial period of the Philippines. Jose Ma. Panganiban y Enverga (February 1, 1863 – August 19, 1890) was a Filipino propagandist, linguist, and essayist. He is one of the main writers and contributors for ''La Solidaridad'', writing under the pen names "Jomapa" and "J.M.P." Early life Jose Ma. Agustín Sumuroy ''(better known as Juan Sumuroy)'' was a Filipino hero and Waray leader of the Sumuroy Rebellion, a rebellion of native Filipinos against colonial Spanish forces that occurred in eastern Visayas in 1649-1650. Agustin Sumuroy is referred to by many as the Waray hero of the Palapag, Northern Samar rebellion during the Spanish time around 1649 to 1650. There were several personalities in the said uprising: Don Juan Ponce (''Ponce'' being a surname), the leader of the group; Don Pedro Caamug (''Caamug'' being a surname), the second leader; Agustín Sumuroy.
