Nathan McSweeney
Nathan McSweeney (born 8 March 1999) is an Australian cricketer who plays for South Australia. He plays for Glenelg in South Australian grade cricket. He made his first-class debut for Queensland in the 2018–19 Sheffield Shield season on 16 October 2018. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in Australia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he scored a match-winning 156 runs against Papua New Guinea. He made his Twenty20 debut on 25 January 2020, for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2019–20 Big Bash League season. 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand (after the 2002 and 2010 events). New Zealand was the first country to host the event three times. The opening ceremony took place on 7 January 2018. The West Indies were the defending champions. However, they failed to defend their title, after losing their first two group fixtures. Following the group stage fixtures, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa had all qualified for the Super League quarter-final stage of the tournament. The 2021–22 Marsh One-Day Cup was the 53rd season of the official List A domestic cricket competition played in Australia. New South Wales were the defending champions. On 21 July 2021, Cricket Australia confirmed the schedule of the tournament, with the final scheduled to be played on 27 February 2022. On 8 September 2021, Cricket Australia announced that the aforementioned schedule had been scrapped due to ongoing lockdowns in Sydney and Melbourne and subsequent border closures. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. 2019–20 Big Bash League Season
The 2019–20 Big Bash League season or BBL, 09 was the ninth season of the Big Bash League, the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 17 December 2019 and concluded on 8 February 2020. The length of the season was shortened compared to that from the last year, while the number of matches was increased from 59 to 61 from the previous season. The knock-outs were revamped into a play-off system, with the top two teams in the league getting a second chance to make it to the final even if they lost the first match in the play-offs. The play-off matches were given unique monikers, namely ''The Eliminator'', ''The Qualifier'', ''The Knock-Out'', ''The Challenger'' followed by ''The Final''. Papua New Guinea Under-19 Cricket Team
The Papua New Guinea national under-19 cricket team represents the country of Papua New Guinea in Under-19 international cricket. PNG has qualified for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup on eight occasions, the most of any associate team in the ICC East Asia-Pacific region. However, the team has only won three matches in World Cup history and has never made it past the first round.
