Nashville Knights (football)
The Nashville Knights were a women's American football team of the Legends Football League (LFL) based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team played its home games at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The Knights were the LFL's 22nd, and final expansion team in the history of the LFL's U.S. league. The team was to become a franchise of the Extreme Football League (X League) in 2020, but missed several deadlines and the league suspended the Knights. The league replaced them with the Kansas City Force. History In 2010, the then-Lingerie Football League almost established a franchise for the Nashville area, but the plans were canceled due to a successful petition by locals to keep it out of the area. Legends Football League
The Extreme Football League (X League) is an American women's semi-professional tackle football league. The league was originally founded in 2009 as the Lingerie Football League (LFL), and later rebranded as the Legends Football League in 2013. On December 13, 2019, the league announced that it would not be holding a 2020 season and that it had instead restructured under its current name, placing new teams mostly in the same locations as the 2019 LFL season. The X League's 8-team 2022 season began play on June 11, 2022, ending September 11, 2022 with the restructured league's inaugural championship, the X-Cup. The Arizona Red Devils are a women's American football team in the Extreme Football League ( X League) based in Mesa, Arizona. Due to season cancellations and issues within the franchise during the league's 2022 season, the team has not yet competed in the X League. Ralston Arena
The Liberty First Credit Union Arena, formerly known as Ralston Arena and sometimes as Ralston Sports and Event Center, is an arena located in Ralston, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. It serves as the home of the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League and the Omaha Beef of Champions Indoor Football. Omaha Heart
The Omaha Heart was a women's American football team in the Legends Football League (LFL) based in Ralston, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. The team played two home games per season at the Ralston Arena. The team was formed in 2012 as a member of the Lingerie Football League for the 2013 season, after the league shifted to a spring and summer schedule. The team's name was chosen in a contest from 12,000 votes. Before the 2013 season began, the league rebranded to the Legends Football League. Following the 2019 season, the LFL ceased operations and relaunched as the Extreme Football League (X League) for the 2020 season. The Denver Dream was a women's American football team that played in the Legends Football League (LFL), with home games at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado. Before the 2020 season, the LFL was completely relaunched as the Extreme Football League (X League) and the Dream were replaced by the Denver Rush with games at Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado. The accesso ShoWare Center is a multi-purpose arena in Kent, Washington, United States. About the venue The construction of the arena began September 2005, with the venue opening in January 2009. The principal tenants are the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League and the Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League. Naming rights to the arena were initially sold to Amiga, Inc. and the arena was to be called the "Amiga Center". The Chicago Bliss is a women's American football team based in the Chicago area. The Bliss is one for the first four teams to participate in the Lingerie Bowl and was carried over to the formation of the Lingerie Football League (LFL) in 2009. Since the formation of the league, the Bliss have played out of multiple indoor and outdoor venues. In 2013, the league rebranded as the Legends Football League. The Chicago Bliss are the LFL team with the most wins and the most championship titles. Stevi Schnoor (born September 14, 1985) is a Canadian American football and rugby football player who represented Canada at the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup. Playing career From British Columbia, Schnoor attended Simon Fraser University and is a teacher. Schnoor played inside centre in rugby union at high school and was selected for the national team for the 2009 Nations Cup. She played in three test matches and also played rugby sevens at tournaments in Calgary, Cuba and Las Vegas. She then played for the BC Angels and the Seattle Mist (and in one season Nashville Knights) in the Legends Football League as a running back and a linebacker. Franklin is a city in and county seat of Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. About south of Nashville, it is one of the principal cities of the Nashville metropolitan area and Middle Tennessee. As of 2020, its population was 83,454.
