Naser Manzuri (Azeri: ''Nasir Mənzuri''; Persian: ناصر منظوری) is an Iranian novelist and linguist, born in 1953 in Mianeh. He writes his novels in the Azerbaijani language. He vastly concentrates on Azeri mythical thoughts in his themes and combines with reality. However, he writes his linguistic theoreticals in three languages (Azerbaijani, Persian and English). Azerbaijani Language
Azerbaijani () or Azeri (), also referred to as Azeri Turkic or Azeri Turkish, is a Turkic language from the Oghuz sub-branch spoken primarily by the Azerbaijani people, who live mainly in the Republic of Azerbaijan where the North Azerbaijani variety is spoken, and in the Azerbaijan region of Iran, where the South Azerbaijani variety is spoken. Mianeh, East Azeribaijan
Mianeh ( fa, ميانه; az, Miyana, میانا; also Romanized as Meyāneh, Miane, Miyāna, Meyaneh, and Mīyaneh) is a city and capital of Mianeh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. It is the fourth most populous city in East Azerbaijan province. Mianeh is situated in a valley, approximately northwest of Tehran and approximately southeast of East Azerbaijan's largest city and capital, Tabriz. The city was strategically located, during antiquity was a frontier city for a key travel route between Iraq and Azerbaijan. Historical monuments in the city of Mianeh include the Imamzadeh Esmail Mausoleum (Kamaləddin). Sonay
In Azerbaijan folklore the last moony nights of summer is called Sonay (so-na-y)(سونای). In Azerbaijani mythical thought the sun and the moon are eternally in love. They will never get to each other. Sonay occurs at autumnal equinox when the day and night are equal so when the full moon of Sonay rises the sun is to set. That is the time that these eternal lovers could see each other face to face, of course, for just a few minutes. That night the Sonay's look is full of love. The well-known love story of Asli and Kərəm is, in fact, the repetition of Sonay love in reality. Similarly, these two lovers seek for each other. They could see each other for a little while and they lose each other.
