Narasaki Senpakukogyo Limited
Narasaki Senpakukogyo Limited or Narasaki Shipbuilding or Narasaki Zosen is a small shipbuilder located in Muroran, Hokkaidō, Japan. It was part of the Narasaki Sangyo Company Limited. Although still building vessels, the company is now focused on other product lines. History Narasaki Shipbuilding began with the establishment of the Tsukiji Shipyard in Muroran in 1935 and became Narasaki Shipbuilding Corporation in 1961. The shipyard is located in the inner harbour of Muroran. Narasaki was a small shipbuilder which built mostly yachts and smaller vessels. It is now still a vessel manufacturer, but also performs repairs to existing ships. Karen K. Narasaki (born April 4, 1958) is an American civil rights leader and human rights activist. She most recently served as a Commissioner on the United States Commission on Civil Rights after President Barack Obama appointed her in July 2014. She is the former president and executive director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice , AAJC. Asian Americans Advancing Justice , AAJC is a Washington, D.C.-based, nonprofit, nonpartisan, civil rights organization whose mission is to advance the human and civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans through advocacy, public policy, public education and litigation. Prior to her post at AAJC, she served as the Washington, D.C. representative to the Japanese American Citizens League. Ken Narasaki (born April 4, 1958) is an American playwright and actor. He is the former Literary Manager at East West Players theatre company in Los Angeles. He is the twin brother of civil rights leader Karen Narasaki. Narasaki Ryō
was a Japanese woman and the wife of Sakamoto Ryōma, an architect of the Meiji Restoration. She is commonly called in Japan. After the death of her first husband, she married the merchant Nishimura Matsubē and was renamed to . Early life She was born in Kyoto on July 23, 1841 as the eldest daughter of the physician Narasaki Shōsaku and his wife Shigeno Sada. She had two younger sisters Narasaki Mitsue (later Nakazawa Mitsue) and Narasaki Kimi (later Sugeno Kimi), and two younger brothers Narasaki Taichirō and Narasaki Kenkichi. Her father was arrested and went to prison during the Ansei Purge. He died after being released from prison when she was 21 years old. Oryō married Sakamoto Ryōma in 1864. Tomoa Narasaki
Tomoa Narasaki (楢﨑 智亜 ''Narasaki Tomoa'', born June 22, 1996) is a Japanese professional sport climber and boulderer. He started climbing at age 10, together with Sachi Amma, in Sachi's family climbing gym. Previously, he had been training apparatus gymnastics. In 2016 and 2019, he won both the Bouldering World Championship and the overall title at the Bouldering World Cup. His younger brother Meichi Narasaki is also a prominent professional climber. In 2019, Narasaki qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics by winning gold in the IFSC Climbing World Championships. He placed fourth in the Olympic combined event. Narasaki formerly held the Japanese record for speed climbing with a time of 5.73 seconds, which he secured in March 2021 at the Climbing Japan Cup speed competition.
