Naran Huleg
Naran Huleg ( ja, ナランフレグ, link=no foaled 5 April 2016) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. A specialist sprinter he showed good, but unremarkable form in his early career, winning a race on dirt as a two-year-old in 2018 and three minor races on turf in the following year. He failed to win for over two years before winning the Tanzanite Stakes in December 2021 although he ran well in defeat in several races in the interim. As a six-year-old in 2022 he recorded an upset victory in the Grade 1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen. Background Naran Huleg is a chestnut horse with a broad white blaze bred in Japan by Setsuko Sakato. He was sent into training with Yoshitada Munakata and initially raced in the ownership of Kimio Saijo. He was from the twelfth crop of foals sired by Gold Allure, a leading performer on dirt in Japan whose wins included the Tokyo Daishōten, Japan Dirt Derby, Derby Grand Prix and February Stakes. Gold Allure
Gold Allure (Japanese: ゴールドアリュール, foaled March 3, 1999 – February 18, 2017) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and the winner of the 2003 February Stakes. Career Gold Allure's first race was on November 11, 2001, at Kyoto where he came in 2nd place. He won his first race the following month also at Kyoto. He picked up a pair of wins in April 2002, including a win at the Danno Stakes. He then qualified for his first Grade-1 race, which was the 2002 Tokyo Yūshun, where he came in 5th. He got his first Grade-1 win when he won the July 4, 2002, Japan Dirt Derby. He then won another Grade-1 race when he won the Derby Grand Prix in September 2002. He came in 5th at the November 2002 Champions Cup. He then won the December 29, 2002, Tokyo Daishōten to start a three-race win streak. He was one of the best two-year-olds in Japan in 2020 when he won two of his four races including the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes. Centaur Stakes
The is a Grade 2 flat horse race in Japan for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1,200 metres (approximately 6 furlongs) at Hanshin Racecourse in September. It was first run in 1987 and takes its name from a statue at the racecourse in the form of the mythological creature centaur. Prior to 2000 the race was run over a distance of 1,400 metres (7 furlongs), and having originally been classed as a Domestic Grade 3 race, it was promoted to Domestic Grade 2 status in 2006 and it was promoted to International Grade 2 status in 2007. From 2005 to 2010 it was a leg of the Global Sprint Challenge series. It has now been replaced as a Japanese leg of the series by the Takamatsunomiya Kinen. Resistencia ( ja, レシステンシア, link=no, foaled 15 March 2017) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. She was the leading juvenile filly in Japan in 2019 when she was unbeaten in three starts including the Fantasy Stakes and the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. In 2020 she ran second in both the Oka Sho and the NHK Mile Cup. Background Resistencia is a bay filly with a white blaze bred in Japan by Northern Farm. During her racing career she was trained by Takeshi Matsushita and raced in the green, white and red colours of the Northern Farm affiliate U Carrot Farm. She was from the ninth crop of foals sired by Daiwa Major, an outstanding miler whose wins included the Tenno Sho, Mile Championship and Yasuda Kinen. is located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is used for horse racing. It has a capacity of 120,000. It was built in 1999. History Kyoto Race Course opened on December 1, 1925. In preparation for the track's 100th anniversary, Kyoto Race Course will be closed from November 2020 until the Spring of 2023 for grandstand renovations.
