Gold Allure
Gold Allure (Japanese: ゴールドアリュール, foaled March 3, 1999 – February 18, 2017) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and the winner of the 2003 February Stakes. Career Gold Allure's first race was on November 11, 2001, at Kyoto Racecourse, Kyoto where he came in 2nd place. He won his first race the following month also at Kyoto. He picked up a pair of wins in April 2002, including a win at the Danno Stakes. He then qualified for his first Grade-1 race, which was the 2002 Tokyo Yūshun, where he came in 5th. He got his first Grade-1 win when he won the July 4, 2002, Japan Dirt Derby. He then won another Grade-1 race when he won the Derby Grand Prix in September 2002. He came in 5th at the November 2002 Champions Cup (horse race) , Champions Cup. He then won the December 29, 2002, Tokyo Daishōten to start a three-race win streak. Sunday Silence
Sunday Silence (March 25, 1986 – August 19, 2002) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In 1989, he won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes but failed to complete the Triple Crown when he was defeated in the Belmont Stakes. Later in the same year, he won the Breeders' Cup Classic and was voted American Champion Three-Year-Old Colt and American Horse of the Year. Sunday Silence's racing career was marked by his rivalry with Easy Goer, whom he had a three to one edge over in their head-to-head races. Easy Goer, the 1988 American Champion Two-Year-Old Colt finished second to Sunday Silence in the Kentucky Derby by lengths and the Preakness by a nose then in the Breeders' Cup Classic by a neck. Espoir City
Espoir City (Japanese: エスポワールシチー, foaled April 22nd, 2005) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and the winner of the 2010 February Stakes. Career Espoir City debuted on March 9, 2008, at Hanshin, where he came in 3rd. He got his first win after six races on July 29, 2008, when he won at Kokura. He then picked up another win at Kokura on August 10, 2008. This sparked a 4 race winstreak. 2009 was a very successful year for Espoir City. He went on a 6 race winstreak. He picked up his first graded win on March 29, 2009, when he won the March Stakes. He then won his first Grade-1 race by winning the May 5th, 2009 Kashiwa Kinen. The Unicorn Stakes (Japanese ユニコーンステークス) is a Grade 3 horse race for three-year-old Thoroughbreds run in June over a distance of 1600 metres on dirt at Tokyo Racecourse. The Sirius Stakes (Japanese シリウスステークス) is a Grade 3 horse race for Thoroughbreds aged three and over, run in late September or early October over a distance of 2000 metres on dirt at Hanshin Racecourse. It was first run in 1993 and has held Grade 3 status since 1997. The first six editions of the race took place at Chukyo Racecourse and it was also run at that track in 2006. Japan Breeding farms' Cup Classic (ジャパンブリーディングファームズカップクラシック) is an annual race that is usually held on November 3, the national holiday Culture Day.
