''Nanjundi'' is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed and written by S. R. Brothers and produced by Ramu. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar and Debina Bonnerjee along with Umashri and Lokesh in other pivotal roles. The film's highlight was the exclusive shot of the famous Kambala race that happens along the coastal region of Karnataka. The film featured original score and soundtrack composed and written by Hamsalekha which marked his 250th film work. Ramu (Film Producer)
Ramu (20 June 1968 – 26 April 2021) was an Indian film producer and distributor known for his work in Kannada cinema. Some of the films produced by Ramu are ''AK 47'' (1999), '' Lockup Death'' (1994), ''Kalasipalya'' (2004), ''Ganga'' (2015) Sagar(2012). He died from COVID-19 related complications. Ramakrishna (Kannada Actor)
Ramakrishna (born c. 1951), also known as Neernalli Ramakrishna, is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Kannada cinema, and known for his portrayal of character roles as a lead actor. He was born into the Havyaka Brahmin community in Neernalli, near Sirsi, in the erstwhile North Canara (now Uttara Kannada) region of Karnataka State. In his career spanning over 30 years, he has appeared in over 200 films, mostly Kannada and a handful in Tamil and Telugu cinema; he appeared in a lead role in K. Balachander's '' Poikkal Kudhirai'' (1983). A protégé of the renowned filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal, he featured in some of the latter's best works such as '' Ranganayaki'' (1981), ''Maanasa Sarovara'' and '' Amrutha Ghalige'' (1984). Umashri
Umashree (born 10 May 1957) is an Indian actress and politician. She is known for her portrayal of film roles spoken in the Kannada language (over 400), particularly comic roles. She received National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Gulabi in the 2008 Kannada movie Gulabi Talkies. In 2013, Umashree became a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka in the government of Siddaramaiah where she was the minister for women and child development, empowerment of the differently abled and senior citizens, Kannada language and culture. Lokesh (; 19 May 1947 – 14 October 2004) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada plays and films. His wife Girija Lokesh is an actress and film director. His father was Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. Lokesh made his film debut in the 1958 film '' Bhakta Prahlada''.
